Friday night December 17th the Deweyville Pirates traveled to High Island and defeated the Cardinals 67 to 41.  The Pirates jumped out to a 17 point first quarter lead, and led by 32 at the half.    Score by quarter DV  23  45  59  67 HI    6  13  20  41

  In the final game of the Deweyville Classic Burkeville defeated Deweyville 69 to 55.  Deweyville took the lead in the third and kept the game close until the end of the fourth, when Burkeville made several key baskets and made their free throws, to putt the game away.  Burkeville's Jeremy Robertson led all scorers with 35 to lock up the tournament MVP.
