Maybe they are planning for next year, but it's cruddy for those seniors that were apart of last years success. They are the defending district champions  I hope they treat Concordia like it. Don't just play out the season waiting for next year, play to win.
next 6 are gonna be rough
 2.
Didnt make it to todays game mainly because it was raining and there were good games on tv. I disagree with Woodward being a boob, he has done a pretty good job turning nothing into something. give him a little more time. Lamar should only play night games IMO.
didnt rain a drop at the game
 3. upcoming..... St Tom and Pius are  the 2 best teams on the schedule this year this could get uglier...........
 4. just a question, UNLV...have YOU been going to Lamar games?
 5.
Roger Korby? Puddin what's going on out there? I haven't seen a game yet. Are they that bad?
...Varsity, JV, and St. Anne are all getting stomped
 6. lil sensitive when presented with facts from an ignorant southeast texan as i have said (ever since you started --first with the WAC-kiness)..if Lu goes FBS, I'm good with it..where I differ...i think LU, if they were to go FBS..should stay east --which would be sunbelt...states where SETEX can identify with and know..not out in the desert where, with a very few exceptions..people could give a squat about college football...I would like us in a conference with UL-L, you--Idaho if we stay FCS..I'm fine with that also--SLC is a good FCS conference--for what its worth...i think winning the FCS championship is more impressive than winning many of these watered down bowl games.

There are do-ers and excuse makers.
sure it was.... ::) so, whats the problem now?..big city....they have "the market" as you love to say...2 million people ..the big time Mountain West ...they draw the same as LU..

 9. ..being close to Dallas... I imagine tickets to watch the  mean green  are hard to get.....................or not For the 2011 season, the stadium averaged 18,864 spectators per home game, which is 61.15% of the facility's capacity of 30,850,[36] and the team ended the season ranked 98th out of 120 Football Bowl Subdivision teams in average home attendance
 10. awesome...now lets get em a stadium built!
 11. no Robert Goulet?  did you run around after em with your lil autograph book? I saw to Bobby Knight...we talked about Lamar.... isnt there a UNLV board you can go troll ?

Lamar is a small school in a small town, just like SFA and SHSU."
It sure is funny how you have such a grasp on the "mindset" and "mentality" of SE Texas.  Quite the McCarthyism attitude--if no one agrees with you then it's their short-sided, typical SE TX upbringing keeping them from seeing the light.  Here's a brief history of what aggravates you: No one jumped when you said Lamar needs to join the WAC --[everyone, including myself, is frustrated by the slow movement for Lamar joining the WAC] No one cared that you later said Lamar would likely be getting an invite from the Sun Belt: --[SHSU, Lamar, and maybe SFA, one of these schools will get the call from the Sunbelt. Very soon] Now no one listens when you state that Lamar must accept some MWC bid that only you seem to know is coming.  And because no one listens you pass it off as the SE TX mentality.  If "SE TX mentality" means having all the facts and figures first rather than adapting a shoot first, ask questions later attitude, then I guess you're right.
aw yes..UNLV and his "WAC-attack" nonsense...

 14.
I can't remember a year that so many 40-60 point games existed.........freaking insane.
lessee..ya cant cuss on here...dont bash kids cuz they get on here...but you have a dope smoking baby as your avitar?
 15. UNLV..you have nothing good to say about Lamar and/or SETex...go away

 17.

The problem is not seventh grade programs. The problem is you don't have enough of those kids playing in the youth programs growing up leading up to their seventh grade years. I can't speak for all the youth programs in the area but i know in Vidor we struggle to get 20-25 senior kids every year. Then all of a sudden in seventh grade you have 75 kids come out to play football. I coached youth football for seven years and it obvious when you go and watch seventh grade football which ones played youth football and the ones that did not. So now you have 4-6 coaches trying to evaluate 75 kids in a matter of about 4 weeks and that first week is conditioning only. So i can't put the blame on the coaches or the programs. A kid that has never played football before other than yard ball is not going to look good or play good at that level compared to the kids that have been playing since they were 5 years old. And then some might say just play the kids that have the talent and experence from playing youth football, but then you have little Johnnys parents calling the coach,AD, or school board. By the time they hit the 8th grade the coaches have had a year to evaluate the kids and things start to get better. I watched the Vidor 8th grade A team last night play central 8th grade A team and it was a very good ball game.( 32-22 Vidor won ) I also watched the games before that game and they were not that good. (Cental won both of those games ) So i think before we start knocking our 7th grade programs we need to take a look at what our Jr. High coaches are up against. They really have a TALL TASK to face each year. JMHO
Very true! I hate seeing 75 kids in a 7th grade program but only 18 played youth football.. That is the main problem!
beats the heck outta 75 kids playing xbox i was very pleased with St. Anne's football when my son was there...there were a and b teams..not 7th and 8th...b team was mostly 7th and a few 6th graders..b teams played more games than a
