Good game cougars.  I loved the effort.  The scoreboard did not reflect just how close this game really was.  However, the Cougar fans need to realize that the intensity of the crowd plays a big factor in a football game.  When the fans get involved it boosts the confidence of the players on the field.  Its pretty bad when the players on the sidelines have to beg the crowd to cheer for their team.  And even then less than half our fans got fired up.  Any Successful football team has a crowd that gets involved, especially in a game as big as the one we played last night.  Its called TEAM SPIRIT!!!!!!We need fans to be LOUD and PROUD.  Its a football game!!!  Not a chess tournament

how do these rankings work? because there is nooooo way evadale can even play with newton or other teams on that list. even in a voting system how does evadale beat newton?

I feel Buna is gonna be a darkhorse this season.

huffman should blow this team out. but dont count them out cuz they can score and fast. if you can contain the QB and have a good secondary you have these guys beat.

This season Hemphill scheduled Buna for their homecoming.

That man has earned his respect. He is one of the best coaches this area has ever seen maybe the best. He should be in the Texas High School Football HoF. He is one of the few still coaching that believe in the old way of gettin things done. I hold high regards for this man and he has deserved wit eveything he has achieved.

It doesnt matter what team plays where and when. This is the toughest 2A district in the state! This is gonna be a nail bitter the whole season. Now this is texas high school football!!!

I gotta go wit buna on this one wit 2 tough losses last year to anahuac and east chambers and losing agin to newton in the first round of the playoffs. They are gonna come out ready to play.

Dude a district title doesnt really matter. 4 teams 3 go to playoffs. playoffs is what counts.
