1. Looks like Hemphill had more than people thought. Did either team bring a defense to the game? :D :o
 2.
Newton fans I'm just poking fun at you. I didn't say anything about a teeth limit or dress code for the game did I? Just take it all in fun like Tigervoice said. Have a safe trip to and from the game. [/Aw go out and play in traffic.  ::)quote]
 3. Don't like it. Living in a town a long way from anywhere, it's hard enough to get home and then to a road game at the regular 7:30 time  ???
 4. There are teams you like to play and those you hate to play. Silsbee belongs in the first group. They always play hard and fair. You cant ask anything more. One team will lose, but it will be a great game. And it will be played in a grea tstadium. Let's pray it's injury free, because these guys are going to be hitting each other. Good Luck.
 5.

CC beat Diboll 35-14 (diboll down this year) and Woodville 46-6 (allways having promblems especially early in the year) .. Newton beat Kville 46-19 with 8 fumbles and 4 of those lost (Kville down this year) .. Newton has the better Team , CC two victories show me nothing but they can beat weak teams handingly. Newton by 16 or more
I have a problem with a couple things. Diboll is not down this year. CC is, believe it or not, up. Diboll has a running back commited to a major D-1 school and a stout offensive line. CC shocked me against Woodville. Theyre way up from last year. Neither Woodville or Diboll are by any means WEAK TEAMS. Both are good teams. Both need work. CC has stepped up and played outstanding football the past two weeks. Im giving them the edge this week too. Corrigan-Camden 38 Newton 28
Newton 49 CC 7. Newton is for real as you will get to see in a couple of weeks. ;D :o

I like Corrigan-Camden in the game, but I wouldn't be surprised at the outcome either way.... If the Eagles get the win, it says more about them than it would Corrigan-Camden if they get the win.... The Bulldogs have been outstanding....
Remember the saying about assuming. Newton is NOT in the small school division.
No, they ARE in the small school division in the SETX Polls.....
When the playoffs star, notify the UIL of their mistakie. And please specify which poll you are using in the furure........

 8.
C.C.-35 Newton 7
I think this score misses two things. Newton's offense and defense. ;D
 9.
We'll find out how good he really is when he comes to Buna in week 3/quote] We had Hemphill for our first scrimmage. He broke loose wide a couple of times. He's good. ::)  Seemed to favor his right side, wide.
 10. It will be a good game. I think Newton will take a close one. Whichever way it goes, we have a lot of respect for CC. They always play a hard and clean game. Let's hope for a good injury free game. May the best team win. :D
 11. Good luck Cats. Vidor will take it; Use this one to improve.  8)
 12. Im sorry if i dont express myself in a way that pleases you. I will try to make myself more clear. First of all I dont think bringing Alverez back would change a thing. Neece is doing what he thinks is best with what he's got. My comment about the off tackle plays was just frustrated sarcasim but the truth is it is reflective of what most fans in the stands are saying. If your O line is small and inexperienced why are you going to run the ball 90 % of the time right at them? I am not saying Haywood, Smith and Jacko dont have speed and talent, as a matter of fact I am saying just the opposite. They have to play with what they've got (which is not bad) and be smart about it. How can anyone agree that we should do the same thing over and over and if it gets a player hurt, fine. If it looks like crap, fine. If we loose 5 yards every play, great. We like running up the middle so no matter how embarrasing it gets keep it up. We are a running team no doubt but if we are succsessfull rolling the ball into the endzone with a wooden spoon I say we should go with that until the compitition catches on. The very deffinition of insanity is do do the same thing over and over and expect a different result.  My second point is,  if anyone can make the argument that Kirbyville has not leaned hard on a few talented players and failed to develop some younger guys with true potential I would be interested in hearing it. For instance, right now you have a JV squad that has been picked so clean of talent they can barely get a snap off. Some of the young talented players could make a real difference. But they are bumped up to varsity where they get little or no playing time. In most programs the JV squad is used to give them time and experience to develop. Some young men with a love of the game and the tools to make it will not be playing next year because they feel they are being left out to dry. The players and parents all see it. How would you feel if you were on a team and ANY chance that you have even make an honest effort at a win is pulled out from under you? Of course the problem in this senerio is numbers. Kirbyville has a lack of players not a lack of talent and of course some times sacrafices have to be made but dont act like there is not a price to be paid for it. I as a more than casual observer and fan do give the new coaches credit for trying to pass the ball and for holding the boys responsible for whatever it was that earned them a lap durring the game last night. Some people were upset about the penalty on the coach but I feel if he is fired up about something, he shows passion and he feels its that important, more power to him. Barrbay and Hooks made a carreer out of standing up for their players. I have every confidence that Neece will be "motivating" the team this week and you can bet adjustments will be made. My only hope is for the sake of the players that are giving it their all that more is expected of everyone involved. If a whole team of young men and a few more coaches showed the heart #33 does every play we would be hard to beat. Attitude reflects leadership.
Good luck next week. I'm looking forward to your next round of gripes and excuses. Of course, you won't be playing a team about two thirds your size with a inexperienced O-line will you?
 13. +
Kirbyville flips this switch in this game :)
Yep, lights ou.
 14. Irvine is just a threat on any play as the kid from Coldspring ....trust me. If the Oline get at least have way good then you'll see what i'm talking about. Yes Gilbert is a speedy back, but nothing Kirbyville haven't seen before or usually have. Coach Barbay gonna have to spread the ball around more on offense or its gonna be an upset for the Trojans if they meet up with a team with a solid run stop defense because you guys have NO passing game! [/quote Doesn't look like CS needed a passing game. Sounds more like sour grapes. :o
 15.
The Rumor Mill is still churning..lol ;D
It,s bad when you can't keep your mind on the job at hand but just keep wishin'.
 16. You said your sophomore corner made a mistake. It happens with young players. Kirbyville is full of young players. If our young line would have blocked we would have done better. If we would have kept our heads in our last game that we played in the playoffs we would have won. All this talk of kville being way down and coldspring way up is pointless. We can all say what if on every play. The bottom line is Coldspring is a better team this year period. Kirbyville has a lot of work to do. End of debate.
You've got more ifs than East Texas has pine trees. IF you score the most, you win. Don't try to spin out of that fact. That's the only fact that is remembered.
