Mr Gambit with all due respect, two teams in our district went to the regional Finals last year, and one went to the state finals. Both Spurger and Big Sandy have great PROGRAMS . SP Went 4th last year in district with 3 sophomores, and two seniors starting last year.There were also two other sophomores and a freshman that came off the bench. One senior missed half of the season because he had six pins in his hand from a football injury. Our team was very green last year. It was a good learning experience for the young team to play against Spurger and Big Sandy last year. Sharks Focus on the game, play hard from the get go, we can do this TOGETHER

The call was wrong, your coach was was very convincing to the refs. It was not a floater! Contact was well before the ball left his hand. I wish I could upload the video from Coach Harvey. I'm sure that when WH's coach watched his film he knew he was lucky to get them to change the call. You do realize this could have potentially changed the outcome, Wise One. SP would have been up by one with less than a min left, you know we stall and make you foul we would have had to make our free throws to win the game. Congrats to your Coach for great bluff. So true CATMAN one game is not a season. Sharks still have a lot of work to make the playoffs. Get back work and get ready for WH, Copeland and his oilers will be ready to play. 4 of the starters are Juniors the other is a senior.

He looks to be a very good coach CATMAN. He did learn from one of the best.

There were 3 T's issued in the game so not sure which you are referring to. The first was on a spurger player for shoving a SP player. The other two, one was on Spurger coach, the other on SP coach. Both were crazy not sure why either were issued. I definatly agree that fans should not speak to the players it is uncalled for. I believe that Spurger is a very talented team, they were last year, they are this year, and they will be for awhile. It was a big win for SP Because Spurger is a good team. Good Luck to Spurger you guys are a very talented group.

12 out of the 28 Players are from Sabine Pass, and most of the students From PA have been here since 5th Grade.While it is true that the transfers are valuable. It seems that with that post you are tring to take something from the Sharks. From my understanding it is rather difficult to get in Sabine Pass School. They don't recruit athletes.

The last time SP went to the basketball playoffs was 2003. Its been a long drought for the Sharks. 25 1a is a tough district, however you have to think that Spurger would be the front runner after their run last year. SP has to play consistent to be competitive in the district, Respect is earned not just given Sharks. SP lets stop talking on the boards and get to work so good things can happen. Evadale is well coached, I believe they will suprise alot of people this year!

Sabine Pass will be practicing at the Nederland recreation center. Majority of their home games will be played at the Nederland High School gym; I think all of them but the High Island game on Jan 26. Our school and community appreciate Nederland’s help in our time of need.
