1.
This will be the first time we will be 3-0 going into district play since the '07 season, I believe. BH is a very good football team, but i think we beat the bricks off 'em. Defense will bring the wood and our running game will shine (200+ yards rushing.) 35-14 Dogs, making us 3-0.
Wasn't 07 the 63-0 game?
 2. This will be BHs first real test. I think they win in 21-17.
 3. Bottom line-----------SOMEONE apparently tried to scam the system. If that happened then that someone is a cheater. It looks like WOS staff was not involved. SO why does it matter? I find it very troubling for someone to try to have a full grown 20 year old MAN lined up and handing out hits to a 15 year old BOY. That is why it is important to me.
You have hit the nail on the head... It wasn't a district employee that falsified the doc... The doc has been in the district for a looooong time... When it came time to be relevant, it was questioned and the right thing was done... Some of you are horrible at reading between the lines...
I never have liked reading between the lines just say it like it is. If no district employee falsified the document then the district is off the hook but who DID falsify the document?? mom, dad?? someone did an incompetent, unethical, or illegal act----the first two don't bother me but the last one does
It will not be a shocker to me! Lumberton is still a good team they lost to a much improved Jasper team and put the ball on the ground 7 times!Lumberton also beat us last year! BH on the other hand had a blow out against a very weak Santa Fe team and a very week 5A Pasadena Memorial team in a scrimmage. Although I think BH is much improved I'm waiting till they get fully tested before I crown them unbeatable  ;D Now I hoping that Pasadena Memorial and Santa Fe Pick up some wins and are better than we made them look ;D Memorial actually lost to Clear Creak 30-13 in week Zero
BH wins this one in a blow-out---this year the L-Train is bad

If that is the new normal than heck lets just all become cheaters!!!!!!!!!!
I do not know about this "cheating" thing. According to the UIL, nothing illegal was done. No ineligible player played a down this year or last year for WOS. As for the blacked out documents, I still put more of the emphasis on the parents and player in this situation. Even if the past administration overlooked this in some sort of fashion (carelessness would be my guess, not cheating) the player was still eligible last season. Coach Thompson did exactly what he was suppose to do when he FIRST LEARNED OF IT!! The player will not play this season.
Coach Thompson did the right thing----but IF someone falsified documents then at the very least it has to be investigated..at the very least

 8.
Criminal activity, you know of what level the State of Texas considers this type of tampering with a government document?  A class C misdemeanor!  Texas Penal Code, Section 37.10 (c)(3).  That's right, you are calling on John Kimbrough office to conduct a clandestine investigation of a program where the penalty will be that same as if you or I were caught speeding.  Should this be evaluated by the district? Of course it should!  Because that should have been caught in the past and there was carelessness by someone in not coming upon that much earlier than days before an ineligible player would have been let on the field.  But for you to take this incident and infer intentional wrongdoing by the district is completely baseless. If you have no beef against WO-S, why are you so intent that some sort of investigation take place?  Do you call the police department every time some flies by you when they are obviously exceeding the speed limit?  For someone who has no beef against WO-S, me thinks you dost protest a little too loudly!
I do not have a dog in this fight but if someone intentionally changed date on a formal document then all hell should break loose over it. Imagine a 15 year old lining up against a 20 year old----are you kidding me?

Maybei can see a game between the two soon.
Do they not have enough players or what? Truthfully, there is no value in it for the Broncos, it would be a pre-district game and would not help prepare our team for anything.
Probably correct to a certain extent about the difficulty of the game and preparing the team for the playoffs.  There's 2 other pre-district games to do that along with the scrimmages.  Just put it this way....I only remember a handful of games from when I was growing up....all of them were against Liberty except for a playoff game against PA Lincoln.  How long has Notre Dame played Navy??  Yea for the longest time Navy couldn't compete but the game was played every year.  Hence the whole "rivalry" thing.  Crosby may be Dayton's "rival" now or Barbers Hill but they would pale in comparison to Liberty IMO.
I also remember the rivalry and there is no question it would be huge and generate a great deal of interest for a couple of years but Liberty is boxed in and will not see significant growth. After 2 or 3 blowouts it would become nothing more than a glorified practice.
You need glasses if that is what you see ;D who are the 4 teams to beat BH this year? We were 7-3 last year losing 3 out 4 in the first 4 games then going 6-0. My early prediction assuming we stay healthy BH goes 9-1 and finially gets out of the 1st round of the playoffs since being 4A. And yes Dayton fans the 1 lose is to you guys >:( Not saying I'm expecting a lose, but you are the king untill dethrowned  8) Now if we squeek one out agains Santa Fe my predicitons will change again :)
SF is a bad team---if BH loses to them you will have a long season---------no way does the hill takes a loss on this one
 13.
"Looks like Homer Stokes is harboring some kind of grudge against the Soggy Bottom Boys".
If giving my opinion makes me the "bad guy" here then I am okay with that. Bottom line is that we are ALL sinners here-the only guy that wasn't was hung on a cross as I was taught--but forgiveness requires contrition AND restitution coupled with a change of ones' ways. Until that happens I stand on my words.

 19.
Is there politics in high school sports? Yes, I believe there is but very little. Coaches play the best players that give a "TEAM" the best chance to win. I don't see politics as a big issue. The big issue is parents who think their kid is better than they actually are. Lots of rose colored glasses out there.
Bingo!

The guy Huffman already has seems better then this guy.
Huffman dosent need any transfers to hang 56 on liberty agian. Maybe you should just play our jv team this year. That way you might actually beat a team with a winning record.
I will keep this in mind falconfanatic says liberty might as well play there jv and that huffman will hang 56 on them, writing this down, you go 2 rounds with a super stud offense and secondary that ALL graduated and now your the best team in south east texas lol im giving my team credit for improvement not saying were going to come in and win the district, but apparently thats what you guys in Huffman think, now not taking anything away from you guys being that you did completely dominate Liberty last year, but to say we might as well play your jv is crazy and I won't forget this was said just like when all the WOS fans a few years ago said that West orange was not liberty texas and Chad Allen wouldn't come in a wreck on their Pittsburgh Steeler defense they thought they had, I wont forget this either. LMAO
The Panthers are gonna have to prove it on the field----saw'em play last year and there is plenty of room for improvement
