Maybe I'm just underestimating Barbers Hill but it seems to me that the Cubs played a much tougher schedule this season.  I tend to think the Eagles won't show the Cubs anything they haven't seen already.  I'll take the Cubs in 2.

Yeah Bear Country I thought the same thing too. But then the jawing at our players, especially ones he had already hit previously in the game, let me know what the intentions were.  It was a real shame that had to go on because LCM carries a class program, but as I said before it was a classless performance by that pitcher.

Brenham dominated throughout this game. I was a little surprised they handled LCM that easily.  LCM had a ton of errors in this game, their defensive play was very sloppy.  The third pitcher they brought in should have been canned, he hit three of our leadoff hitters, the third being the starting pitcher with a fastball to the ribs.  He then got mouthy with a kid he had hit earlier in the game after a strikeout. Very classless performance.  Otherwise it was a great ballgame, usually Brenham vs. LCM games are tooth and nail.  Brenham just brought it tonight.

Bottom of 5th continued: New Summer Creek pitcher comes in. Neumann steps in, lays down the bunt, gets the out at first but runners advance to second and third.  Stegent to bat, he's hit by a pitch.  Bases are now loaded with one out.  Dakota Bruton comes in to pinch hit for Jahns, he's rips a big one down the third base line! Two run double Cubs 7-0

Bottom of 5th continued: Cubs 5-0 Wunderlick has two homers Webb to bat, he's hit by a pitch.  Baker up, big rip to left.  Runners on first and second. Time for a pitching change......

This is a game of two completely different teams from last night.  Brenham is very fired up and confident, Summer Creek looks lost out there. Lots of sloppy plays and errors.  I'm thinking maybe the big time field and the huge crowd has them nervous.....
