[/quote] Yeah, but look at this year.  Kingwood Park, I believe, was the fourth place team out of their district and they upset Brenham.  I know Brenham had a bad night and maybe they underestimated a team with a 4 & 3 record but in any event it happened. [/quote] Your right, but more than often it goes the other way.  The next game when they played Dayton, they got a beating.  If only 2 teams made the playoffs, it would make it a lot more competitive, IMO.

[/quote] If that was the case La Marque would not have made the playoffs this year. ;) [/quote] Rarely does that happen though.  It might motivate them like it did last year.  Last year they barely missed the playoffs, so they were hungry this year when they made it.  I just think something should be done, cuz there's no way a 2-8 or 3-7 team should make the playoffs.  It would make a playoff appearance a lot more rewarding.  We all know the district LaMarque comes from, so in their case it's understandable, but in most cases it waters the playoffs down.

HB Troy Green- Powerful back that still has 4.5 speed.  He was rated a 3 star recruit by scout.com his JR year. (like LaMarque's Tim Wright) [Hidden Content] WR Tre'mund Moore- He's every bit as talented as Derek Edwards was.  Possibly Brenham's next big name receiver.  His strengths are getting open and yards after the catch, IMO.  He's just been added to scout.com. [Hidden Content] DT Malcolm Brown- Absolute beast.  Scout.com had him as a 4 star recruit as a JR.  Titled as the best DT in his class for the state of Texas, and top 3 in the nation. [Hidden Content] OLB Tim Cole- Another 4 star recruit as a JR.   [Hidden Content] OLB Jesse Baker- On scout's radar but no stars yet. [Hidden Content] CB Robert Felder- Very fast db with 4.4 speed. He too is on scouts radar. [Hidden Content] There's others returning, but those are our main playmakers. ***Look for us to be in the playoffs.***

[/quote] This is true, I didn't see any other threats last year.  (yes i'm aware that Bishop was hurt) They scored 5 TD's on us, 4 of them were by Gray. (3 of those were on runs of 20+) The defense was very good however, but they were very one dimensional on offense.  Only thing is, that one dimension is very good.

Very interesting...  Brenham was ranked #2 most of the year and they only have one person on there...  I find that a little hard to believe.  The one person that did make it should be first team and only got honorable mention.  Malcolm Brown should be a hands down, first team selection! (jmo) ???

Aledo 35 LaMarque 21 Aledo is undefeated for a reason.  LaMarque is very athletic, but Aledo is a very disciplined, well oiled machine.  Gray is a beast, on one leg or not.  Big time players make big time plays, in big time games. 

Thats 3 years straight now, that region 3 has beat region 4.  Go LaMarque!!!

[/quote] Brenham, Chappel Hill & Washington all go to Brenham.  I think our enrollment is 1,436.  Even with those communities going to Brenham, we are the 7th biggest school out of the 8 in our district.  Honestly though, some of our more talented players come from Washington.
