(dumb ones at that) Up next, Houston Lamar...

Lamar is an above average 5A school.  IMO, they are HISD's only legit team. Enrollment: 2,995 There last 2 seasons: Lamar 2010- 9-1 in the regular season. Lamar 2009- 9-1 in the regular season.

[/quote] They are way overrated in these rankings!  They sre nowhere near that high in the AP poll.  No defense at all, but they can score and score quick.  A lot of athletes on Willis, but they will be tested by Magnolia West here in a week or 2.  Last year MW beat them by 10 in the regular season, but lost to Willis by 1 in the playoffs.

I heard Elkins being questioned on the preview show, so here's something that might help sort this out..... Elkins just played Dayton, and the Broncos pulled off a one point win.  This weekend, Elkins will play Houston Lamar, who plays Brenham in 2 weeks.  I figure after those games, you'll be able to tell how big the Dayton win over Elkins truly is.  Just my opinion, but I found it interesting.

Like I said, if you're gonna follow a poll, the AP is your best bet.

I always go by the AP poll.  It's pretty accurate, most of the time.  Most of the other polls favor certain parts of the state. (Depending on the poll) IMHO, MaxPreps is a joke.
