  1. hands down Earl Thomas, didnt get to see him much but wow!
  2. haha love it cats....can you image what the big schools would do if that happened??? crocidile tears im tealling you! WOS KVille Silsbee
  3. Sorry to anyone if I got a little overboard but I dont like anyone accusing a team or a player for being a cheater if there is no evidence to back it up. It is just not fair.
  4. Was this one of the biggest mismatches ever in our area for the playoffs? Liberty gave 100% but there was no chance of slowing down such an awesome Mustangs offense and tenacious defense
  5. Is some of the Pirates problems due to the district they are in? It is tough for anyone to have success with PNG, Nederland, Central, Ozen and now Dayton making up four of your district games. LCM is no slouch and neither is Lumberton. Wins can be hard to come by for anyone
  6. Coaches of the year have to be Hooks for winning the district and Dayton and ECs coaches for doing the same. Its all about winning and keeping your team focused
  7. Just something people will have to get used to. Good luck to Dayton in the playoffs. People around here are just not used to an "outsider" kicking the crud out of teams like PNG, Nederland and the rest of the district unless it is each other.
  8. Tam, exactly the point i was trying to get across. You seemed to get the words a lot better than I did. The Buna Cougars would give 100% against southlake carroll but sometimes you just have to face the facts and say exactly what is going to happen, no matter what the teams are. To me, the "they played hard" is all you hear when WOS beats someone. The real prediction on this game should be... Who will do more in this game... A. Garrett B. Bevil C. Thomas D. Franks E. The Chain Gang F. All the Mustangs will have near career nights. Sorry Liberty but I choose F.
  9. Oh trust me, I want Liberty to play hard and know that they will as they should. But playing hard does not mean they will get even close to pulling this upset. I was just pointing out that when its a huge mis-match, the first thing the underdogs say is their team will play hard. Facts are facts and the fact is WOS will run over the Panthers.
  10. Liberty play hard yes they will. Stay close on the scoreboard, no they will not. How many teams did WOS blow out this year and everyone after the game said "well the other team played hard." WOS - in the 40s or 50s liberty - maybe gets 7 or 10 but at least they will play hard before going home!
  11. No matter who is from where and where they belong, no team in this area uses their talents better than WOS. The coaches always have the Stangs in the right places and no players buy into a system more than at WOS. Just thought of this, are the Mustangs this areas New York Yankees? You either love em or hate em and no matter what, they never do enough and will never receive the benefit of the doubt. Congrats on the district championship and go make our area proud.
  12. One last one before bedtime (sorry for so many posts but this topic got my interest) I dont remember the exact words but its my favorite funny local one and remember this is not direct wording but it gets the point across. Its from good old Dan Hooks after going to PNG "Its the same ole thing in Port Neches. It doesnt matter what the darn score is. Tonight we beat them by 35 and THEY played THEIR fight song 36 times! They fumbled the ball and played their fight song."
  13. Almost brings tears to the eyes doesnt it? I wanted to add the one Knight did when asked if his team had their game faces on and he made those silly faces. "Whats a game face?" then he went through a series of :x     :| :? Say what you want but the man is hilarious (unless he has a chair in his grasp)
  14. "PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS? WE CANT WIN A GAME AND YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT PLAYOFFS? love it everytime...if you are having a bad day, just pick ole jim mora and his face when speaking those lines. truly classic "When the day is done and my time has passed, I hope they bury me upside down so my critics can kiss my ***" Love bobby knight
  15. Would never argue against Hooks but a case can be made for newman (spelling stinks tonight). The Bulldogs dont have the same talent as they usually have except for mosely and moshier and look where they are, one week away from the playoffs again. Another case can be made for Moody in LCM. What a job he has done. But in the end, Hooks is the man and has been for a very long time.
  16. Looking at the past scores and reading that article from the Orange Leader above, it seems Dan Hooks lets up on the Bobcats in the end. Its a great move on his part. Orangefield poses no threat and WOS will still win by 40 or so but both coaches seem to respect the other and what they are trying to accomplish. Hooks will let the boys have their fun then pull back and let the Bobcats breath. Good move since you dont want to get players hurt in that game on either side.
  17. ok wow i was wrong and ill admit to it....dayton has a great team and deserve credit...good luck rest of the way because what an impressive team the broncos are
  18. Wish I could be there. Im working Friday night :x This might be one of the best games played tonight. If I have to pick I will take BC with a slight edge.
  19. No wonder people think Im an LCM homer, I stay on this topic but anyways....LCM has seen a team with greater speed, size, intensity, talent and anything else that goes into it - the Mustangs. Remember that team? So I would take back that comment and ask the Nederland Bulldogs if Vidor had NO CHANCE of beating them. And I am sure PNG fans said the same thing before their game with the Bears. Saying no chance is a strong statement that can often make one look a little dumb in the end.
  20. someone please remember to post the score of bc vs of...should be very interesting outcome!
  21. So sorry not to respond to Venoms accusations (which turned out wrong) since I am not a homer for LCM. Im not from LCM or have any affiliation with the school what so ever. Actually have no real love for any school in the area, just your normal sports fan and on Friday high school sports are front and center in my eyes. Yes LCM has a shot and yes they have a realistic chance of winning. Only reason I am pulling for the Bears is because I enjoy underdogs and it would be great to finally see them have a successful season and make the playoffs. So from an unbiased person..how do you guys in LC say it....GO BOJO... (that should make a few people either laugh or get pumped up)
