Call me crazy but didnt LCM shut out PNG 42-0 and if my memory serves me right they shut out Central in the second halfand almost pulled that game out too. They did not get slaughtered by WOS by any means and if they did, who cares cause most teams do. In my opinion the strength of schedule and the wins and losses to the teams they played favors the Bears right now

How is Dishons ankle this week? What a competitor this guy has been all year.

I just looked at Daytons schedule and no disrespect to the teams that they have beaten but umm..who have they beaten?? They lost to both WOS and Friendswood.. I really am not saying Lumbeton and Vidor are not worthy opponents but I am not sure either of those will be a better team that LCM. Dayton is good, Ill give you that, but the Bears will not get ran over. A Bears win should not surprise anyone but start to make everyone realize LCM is a good squad this season.

Here is an unbiased opinion from a person from outside this area....The PNG Indians do not seem to be the PNG Indians of old. It is hard to explain but something has been different the last several years. The Indians would storm into a stadium with that PNG swagger and you know the other team had to play a perfect game to even budge PNG. Not how it is anymore. Is it the coaches fault? Hard to say. Maybe it has to do with the rest of the teams in the district catching up to the Mid County squads. it has happened in a lot of sports. Parity is everywhere these days. A new coach may not change what is going on. Cant imagine PNG firing a coach with so much background in Indian Nation and that has had the success he has had. As with losing so many in the MCM, keep in mind the UT vs OU rivalry. Streaks always end.

It has to be Vidor. Look at who they played the first game and how bad they looked. Now they have beat Nederland, played a great game against Lumberton (yes I know they lost but they played well) and even though they got blown out by Dayton (besides WOS who hasnt) but they did have several opportunities to score just turned the ball over. They might not be making the playoffs but they just might have a lot to do with who does. They will make alot of peoples lives hard the rest of the year. Ask the PNGs, LCMs of the world after they play them. The Pirates wont lay down and could end up costing someone a playoff spot before its over.

Kristy Sanders over in OF sure is a nice player. Doesnt always lite up the stat sheets but she is everywhere on the court just making things happen. In fact the whole OF team is like that but she is the center piece. I saw her and her sister in a tournament last year and loved their style of playl.

Cant predict the third spot just yet. Ned vs PNG is a key game because if PNG loses it will put a damper on their plans. PNG vs Vidor will be another game that decides a lot and so will LCM vs Vidor. We are still only two weeks into this thing and too many strange things have happened. In about two more weeks maybe just maybe (but I doubt it) a team will start to take the 3rd spot away.

forget if mosley will be back, nederland better find a defense and PNG better find some stick em to hold on to the ball after the LCM game. slight edge to PNG only cause its at the Reservation but would not be surprised at all if Nederland wins.

Does Dayton have a chance? What a dumb question. Yes Dayton has a chance, and so does just about everyone else in this district. Sit back people, we are witnessing some great football. Im a mid county boy and people over here need to realize neither team will dominate anyone and the beaumont schools better watch out for everyone else as well. This is a great year in this district as it seems almost every team seems to be on the same level. Each team has a part of their game that they are really good at. So does dayton have a shot, darn right they do and right now, they seem to be the favorites. Central is a great team but remember LCM gave them a game. Never count our vidor or lumberton and just sit back and get ready for some wars. Whoever makes the playoffs will really deserve this year. Good luck to everyone
