Crosby 2. Dayton 3. Nederland 4. Lumberton 5. Goose Creek Memorial 6. Houston C.E. King 7.Baytown Lee 8. Sante Fe 9.Galena Park 10.Houston North Forest
I'd rank Santa Fe a little higher, like 4 or 5...no worse than 6.  They had an ok year in a tough district last year...  It should be a close game against y'all.
They did have a good year last year ,but it looks like they are favored for last place in district this year. Don't beleive the Dayton Hype Brenham BH has had a couple of weaker classes come through the last two years we are note as bad as Dayton thinks.
Yea santa fe is picked last in a very very tough district just like they were last year but still managed to make the playoffs so dont look past the indians and they will not finish last this year
2. Friendswood @ Angleton should be a very good one in the opening week of the season. Angleton hasnt lost to fwood the last couple years and have only lost to them once since joining their district 4 yrs ago but this will be a good one of ol district rivals
3.
Hey Wildcast979,,Hows Angelton gone to look this year in their new District. In your Opinion.. They Had another Angelton Fan on here buh they dont get on here much..
Their new district is totally different then last years but will still be a tough one. Honestly I only see El Campo giving us fits and we play them the first week in district after a brutal pre-district schedule so we will be ready. IMO the only 2 teams to give Angleton and El Campo a test is Foster and Terry but even thats a long shot. Lamar Consolidated is supposed to be down this year i think they return under 10 players and are gonna be under a new coach this year. So its almost safe to say that the Cats' and Quandre Diggs will win their 3rd straight district title under Coach V and hopefully we see one of yall SETX schools in the 3rd rd

If only the cats had a kicker then it wouldve set up a rematch with district rival friendswood in the regional final. the cats were set on a rematch cuz they felt they never got the recognition they deserved considering they were the only team to beat fwood in the regular season and at that time they were ranked 10th in the state
Yea, that was a good game.  Also, that 2008 Angleton team did get a lot of recognition.  Everybody knew who they were.  But you forgot about that big screen pass that set up the win for the Jags...
not the recogniton like friendswood got. yea that screen pass was a killer considering it was how they got 60 of the 90 yards in the 2nd half. the cats d really stepped up in the 2nd half

6. Whoever Angleton plays in the 3rd. They have lost in the 3rd rd the last 2 years. But I know Texas commit Quandre Diggs is gonna take this team past the 3rd rd this year
7.
I'd like to see Dayton punch Angleton in the face at the beginning of the year.It will be fun to watch the chronicles 4-A darling get frustrated by a team (Dayton) that plays solid, disciplined defense.  I also want to see ol Ballpoint get mad and lay out Quandre Diggs when he tries to turn the corner.  (Ballpoint better be hitting the weights hard this offseason, somebody let me know how he is progressing. That kid could be really, really good)
:D lot of talk a bout a kid that ain't gonna be there next year. But don't worry diggs will be there next year. Should be a good game but Quandre Diggs getting laid out doesn't seem like it'll happen cuz it hasn't happened much the last 3 years cuz them cats r fast. But hopefully this is just a preview for a 3rd round playoff matchup. I would love the cats to beat Friendswood again. The cats have won 3 of the last 4 years
8. Who has the toughest non-district schedule so far? Angleton's schedule has to be one of the top 10 toughest non-district so far. Here's how it looks. Friendswood(4a Regional Finalist) Brazoswood(5a Regional Finalist) @Dayton(4a Regional Finalist) don't know if site has been confirmed @Alief Elsik or Dawson(4a State Semi-Finalist) Brutal schedule before district starts then the cats go into district play with El Campo at home so the year is gonna be a tough one. Who do you think has one of the toughest non-district schedules? Any thoughts?
9. Any of y'all dayton fans know if dayton-angleton gonna be in dayton or angleton heard it would be finalized sometimes this week
10. Would you happen to have a link on this?
11. Angleton up 21-0 at the half. Cats have 261 yards on the ground and 77 threw the air.
12.
Manvel swarmed the run, kept pressure on Diggs and beat Angleton pretty soundly, if you watch the tapes you can see it can be done. Angleton has a weak pass defense, it's secondary is questionable. Brenham has a good balanced offense and that QB can pick apart a weak secondary if he has blocking. Brenham has a great pass defense and a really defend the run well too. Ask PNG. If Angleton does execute just right Brenham will pull this one out. The Cubs are a very opportunistic team, and force a lot of turnovers. However if they can't keep pressure on Diggs it is going to be a long day.
Angleton has a good pass defense not one QB has had a field day on them through the air. And they have faced some good passing teams friendswood, dawson, la marque, dickinson, and sam carter from alief hastings, even the jones qb had threw for over 2000 yards during the season and only got 70 on saturday. This defense is just peaking. They've only given up more then 14 points 3 times. Even manvel only got 14 on the defense they had 1 special teams td and a fumble return for a td. The defense as a whole is very good.
13.
Thank you and good luck to Angleton next week!  Sorry we can't be there...it would've been nice seeing all that purple, but I have a feeling we'll get our chance next year  ;)!
Thank you. Sure wish we were playing y'all cuz I did some research and I couldnt find a matchup between us and png but hopefully next year. Congrats on a good season indians.
14. I think you can look up on the chronicle and you prolly find something. I know henry josey (sr) has vidoes on some recruiting sites and quandre diggs (jr) also has some videos on recruiting sites
15. So angleton won 51-0. They'll play brenham next Saturday in conroe at woodforest stadium time TBD
16. Hey png fans I heard from a source that if y'all and angleton win. Next weeks game will be at stallworth stadium not sure on time and datee but will post once I find out
17. Here are some stats [Hidden Content]
18. There is also Robertson Stadium. I want PNG to win this one. Cuz no matter where PNG-Angleton play. There would be a Sea of Purple. And I can bet there will be 20k plus. I just hope this game happens. Good Luck PNG
19. How about in Pasadena? According to Texas Bob its bigger then Stallworth [Hidden Content]
20. honestly to tell you the truth angleton rarely punts cuz they're usually not in a punting position cuz most teams pooch kick on the kickoff. But as of the last 2 weeks there has been a different punter in. Diggs (the one hurt right now) usually punts and he usually gets the ball down the field but punt coverage is good. The only kind of coverage angleton has problems with is KICKOFF coverage.
21. Oh yeah PNG fans. Talking to a Angleton coach last week he was talking about if we were to play PNG we would be looking to play in Huntsville at Bowers Stadium.
22. Hey guys I'm from Angleton. I'm not here to start any bad tension I'm here to talk football like this forum is meant for. But Angleton is really looking forward to next weeks game between this winner. I know they have to get by Jones first but I honestly don't think any inner city houston school is gonna win this week. The only team that has a chance is Yates but they're playing a really good el campo team. The only thing with Angleton right now is they're sufferring a few injuries one by the star QB and they're biggest linemen in weight. So that's why I'm hoping if they can get out to a big 1st qrt lead. They can sit these 2 to get ready for next week. But last year Angleton faced Jeff Davis (another inner city houston team) and they were 9-1. And angleton had a 41-7 lead at half time. The competition that the inner city schools isn't very good. But like I said I'm hear to talk football and answer anything y'all wanna know.
