I would describe it more as "inherited", as in Lennon Creer & Co., for example. Interesting, after Andy left EC, universally (AFAIK) the EC folks wished Andy and Tatum well, and were happy to support his sucess there. Now, we have Tatum people discovering SETXSports and posting basketballs and predicting 56-12 blowouts or whatever. I don't have a clue how this game will actually go, but I would not stoop to those levels on a Tatum area board, and I doubt anyone from EC would either. Oh well. Like I said, rant on if y'all must.
The basketball was posted towards the woodville person.. Yall are to dang uptight. Relax, take a breath... have some fun...
Overstreet is 1 for 2 through the air, 4 yards. Did all this while rushing for an jaw dropping 8 yards on 12 carries.. That good enough for you? ;D
 3.

Thanks to our coach.
Andy ran a class program at EC, kinda looks like it hasn't translated very well at Tatum, though. Of course he can't controll trash talking fans. Go ahead, [s]Green Bay [/s] Tatum. Rant on...
If your going to quote me then quote the whole thing... The "lol" was there for a reason.

Good to see that Kirbyville WildKats made the playoffs with that impressive 2-8 record.  Too bad another NE Texas knocked them out 47-18.
Thanks.. We are quite proud too... ;D ;D...This is The Buc's thread I'm not going to get into a brain battle with an un-armed person...You have a good night... ;)
Lets see,  You bring up spelling on a Football forum and I am the Juvenile.  I can not really see any insight you have to the actual game.  Brain battle with an un-armed person.  Now that is a great come back.  ::) Seems that Kirbyville will do great in UIL grammar this year, but that is about all.  Maybe just maybe, if you watched as many football games and studied as much film, then you could have an intellectual converstation with me about the x's and o's of the game.  East Chambers may win this game, but Tatum has great tradition, experience in big games, better athletes and a great coaching staff.  And oh by the way, they have heart also. Now if anyone would like to actually talk about the game, then I am ready.
You know East Chambers has some tradition also... 17 years in a row to make it to the playoffs doesnt happen over night you know. ::)
lol Thanks to our coach.

In the first half against Woodville, Wville made them look like a JV defense. Averaging around 9 yards a carry and scoring on three plays in their first drive. They made some adjustments and played great in the second half obviously. But they arent as dominating as that depicts them. They can be if you let them be and if they show up. But if they dont, look at it being a great game that Tatum will have to come back and win.
[img][Hidden Content]]
 6.
How many passing yards does the EC QB have?
Not enough to be considered a threat.
 7. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with having a lot of heart. It's a good thing. Heart+Athletes.... Now that's a deadly combination. I didn't major in history in college so my skills might be a little off but this the farthest East Chambers have ever been in the playoffs?
 8.
This EC team has not "matched up" well with anyone's team or expectations all year long.  Beware of this team, they have a heart the size of Texas and fear no one on the field.    EC wins this one
If I had a dollar every time someone plays the "we have tons of heart" card..
 9.
East Chambers has no chance to win! Tatum-56 East chambers-12 maybe
Naaa... That's a little to "out there".... I do know this, and of course this is just my opinion, but East Chambers doesn't match up well at all with Tatum. I will get into it more later in the week and explain my thoughts.
 10.
Bullard is 8-4.  Beat center in 1st round 24-14. Beat Waco Robinson in 2nd round 53-41.
Those are the only two playoff wins in the history of the school.
 11.
Any word on the location of this one?
Lufkin Friday 730PM I'll get you Tatum's stats early next week so your capsules will be super cool like usual.
 12.
Is Andy still at Tatum I hope EC beats the tar out of them.
I hope Santa brings me 10 million dollars.
 13.
Tough challenge for EC in this one! Good luck Bucs.
Even tougher challenge for Tatum.. EC is playing some good ball.
 14.
I bet they play this game around Lufkin or Nacogdoches is going to be my guess. Bullard is just south of Tyler.
That's my guess too... Tatum/East Chambers has Lufkin also but unsure of which day.
 15. Freaking Bullard... Never would of thought they would of made it this far.. Tonight was their second playoff win in history of the school...
 16. Don't be fooled by Tatum's record... One loss was without one of the best players in the state and the other was to a highly ranked 3A... Good story line for this game also.
 17. 21-7 Tatum Almost the end of 3rd.. Overstreet has passed over 200 while rushing over 100.
 18.
Tatum is not the same team they were last year...Going with Cameron Yoe on this one..... ;D
That's right and Yoe is the exact same team.
 19.
I think Yoe wins!!! Woodville played Tatum very well if if wasnt for the conservative 3rd qtr play calling they had a chance!!! I think close but Yoe wins!!!
LOL@YOU
 20.
Tatum is a good team. Made some adjustments and got some breaks. Refs were AWFUL in the second half. Did not effect the overall outcome. Not blaming them by any means. But they were horrible. And very unprofessional.
Why? Did they not tell Woodville that a kickoff is a live ball or something?
 21.
Tatum could of been beat!!! Not anything special. Newton or EC would be them. Next week probably there last against the Yoemen!!!
and Hermain Cain could be the President. He has more of a chance than Woodville had last night. Woodville couldn't even more the ball on our JV and Freshman kids.
 22. Ahhhhhhh A game that has no where near the hype as last year. Should be a great game though. Revenge is best served cold!
 23. Per Longview News Journal CLASS 2A DIVISION IREGION III BI-DISTRICT Tatum (8-2)vs. Woodville (5-5)7:30 tonightAbe Martin Stadium, Lufkin Mascots Tatum: Eagles Woodville: Eagles Coaches Tatum: Andy Evans Woodville: Steve Fentress Up next: Winner faces Cameron Yoe (6-4) in a 2A Division I Region III area playoff. Players to watch Tatum: QB Jalen Overstreet, Sr., 6-3, 211 (76 of 146, 1,300 yards, 12 TDs, 5 INTs; 144 carries, 979 yards, 18 TDs; committed to Texas) ... RB L.J. Johnson (56 carries, 355 yards, 7 TDs; 10 catches, 260 yards, 3 TDs) ... RB Shaq Johnson (98 carries, 546 yards, 1 TD) ... WR Nate Pickett, Sr., 6-3, 200 (37 catches, 636 yards, 7 TDs) ... TE Daven Reese, Sr., 6-2, 205 (21 catches, 313 yards, 1 TD) ... DE LaDerion Johnson, Sr., 6-1, 200 ... LB Kiano Lucas. Woodville: QB Dominique Lockhart ... LB Tyler Skinner ... LB Sana Moran ... ATH Marcus Harrison ... OL Quade Allison ... OL Corey Mitchell. By the numbers Tatum: The Eagles average 31.6 points per game and surrender 18.4 ... Tatum has scored at least 42 points five times. The Eagles have held five opponents to 16 or fewer points ... Tatum was 4-1 at home and 4-1 on the road ... Tatum is 13-2 in district play during the past three seasons, which includes a 4-1 campaign in a 3A district in 2009 ... Tatum’s enrollment of 421, according to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine, makes it the largest school in District 9-2A D-I. Woodville: Woodville averages 25.7 points per game and allows 21.2 ... The Eagles scored more than 36 points only twice this season, but yielded more than 36 only twice as well ... Woodville was 3-2 at home and 2-3 on the road ... Woodville went 4-3 in District 10-2A D-I for the second consecutive season ... With an enrollment of 349, Woodville is the second-smallest school in its eight-team district. Only Newton (311) — which finished in second place, one spot ahead of the Eagles — is smaller. Keys to victory Tatum: Tatum cannot allow Woodville to dictate the tempo. If Tatum builds an early lead, it’ll be hard for Woodville’s run-first offense to recover. Woodville: The Eagles have three players with at least 500 rushing yards, so keeping the ball away from Overstreet and Tatum’s offense is Woodville’s best bet for a first-round upset. Did you know: Tatum has made 10 consecutive trips to the postseason. The Eagles are 6-3 in the bi-district round since 2002.
 24.
Thanks, guys.  And trigger, you are correct, Chapel Hill is undefeated.....for now.
Or until next year... Side note on Chapel Hill... First time EVER in school history that they have had an undefeated regular season. Pretty impressive considering they have only played one game this year with everyone healthy and playing.
