I am not saying that coaches are never wrong.  What I am saying is that these boys need to learn to keep their mouths shut and do what he says either way.  He is the coach, they are the players.  All personnel decisions are made by him. period their opinions are not part of that process.  If he is making the wrong choices he is the one who will lose his job.  He gets paid, he is a  professional.  The boys, well they are just students, not that they are not important the game is all about them. but decisions made by the coaching staff are final.  Doesnt matter what the kids think about it.And yes i agree kids are cruel..
 2. Ok,  Carson Raines  is a sophomore.  It is not like this is his last opportunity to play at Nederland.  He has two more years to be the starting QB if he can win the job.  I have to say that i respect the kid (Carson) and his parents for keeping their mouths shut on this matter for the most part.  All this argueing is doing is messing with the kids head.  The last thing we as adults should be doing is supporting any player not submitting to the coaches.  They are the boss. They make the calls.not parents, not players.  As far as the  other boy,Andrew Lack, ( I dont know him) in my opinion need to learn how to fall in line and take orders.  That is a big part of why we play this game in high school. Young men are to learn to work hard, do your best, and then deal with the fact that you may or may not be the best one on the field at your position.  Whether the coaches decision is right or wrong doesnt matter.  He makes the call the boys  follow his orders. Thats it.
Nederland has had a pretty good football program since day one.  Some very good years (State Championship) mixed in with a few very bad years (at least one winless season in the early 90s) but mostly pretty good.  I just think people are being too hard on the pre-Neumann years because Nederland didn't always make the playoffs.  But you have to remember that until 1982 only the District Champion went to the playoffs and between 1982 and 1996 only the top two teams in each district made the playoffs.  Also during a lot of the pre-Neumann years, Nederland was in the highest classification in the state.  It was called 4A but there was no 5A.  So Nederland was competing against the largest schools in the state.  And if you'll remember, there was some pretty stout competition in the area in the 70's and 80's.  PN-G was pretty good.  I believe French and West Brook both won state championships back then.  TJ had a few good years in there with Dodge and Duhon and Stump.
That is all true. My point is that since Neumann  has been here how many losing seasons have they had??? In the 80's and early 90's nederland barely ever had winning seasons.  I know it is not exactly same. Districts had more big schools. But give the guy credit. He has restored a winning tradition in nederland. Taken nederlands crappy fans and turned them into Bulldog nuts.  In 1993 no one cared if they won or lost. Now the fans are radical. Mostly due to the fact that Neumann has turned a losing program into a winning one.
first off, who are you to say that after all coach has done for nederland, second seriously who are you to say that... you probably are some screw up who got kicked out of football and are just holding a grudge... in the past 17 years football has made the playoffs 15 times.. basketball 2?
In the past 17 years, the basketball team has been the District champs one time... football once.
I dont know if you can remember Nederland football before neuman but I do and they sucked... a lot....He has been the best thing to  happen to Nederland football in a long time... granted Nederland has had a couple of down years but all things considered he is a very good coach.
 5. Game went pretty much how I thought it would. PNG played their hearts out. but in  the end Brenham had just a little more athletic ability....Hands down worst refs I have every seen seriously not even sure if they knew all of the rules of the game. Not why we lost but just saying they sucked.I was born and raised in Big Ned. Moved to PNG about 10 years ago and have to say I am proud to support PNG.
 6. I just gotta say........If both teams play to their potential PNG should win this one by at least a couple of touchdowns for BH to have a chance PNG will have to have turnovers  No turnovers BH has no chance  ;D
 7. My guess is that even if dayton isn't as good as last year that they can still beat Vidor by Hmmm. 21 yeah that sounds pretty close and if dayton gets cranked up it could really get ugly.
