After reading the Crosby posts I can't wait until Friday night....no need for any of us to say what will happen, they will find out themselves on Friday. GO DOGS BEAT THOSE COUGARS!!!!!!!
I'm cheering for Crosby because they're from 19-4a but I'm being serious when I say Nederland's going to declaw the kittens!  ;D
Dayton fans need to quit whining.  So much complaining about who needs to play where.  Kind of silly.  You have a qb that's taking his first varsity snaps against two very good programs and all of a sudden the sky is falling.  Patience is a virtue.  Give the kids some time and let them develop. Scrimmages are for trying different players at different positions and getting reps in.  I'm glad Dayton didn't schedule powder puff opponents at the beginning of the season.  I would rather see a team struggle early on against solid competition and shine during district than fool everyone at the start and crumble later. Rant over.
Well said! +1  8)

 10.
Wow just realized the sight is back up and running. Ned looked good which I expected. Dayton has just a couple of seniors on both sides of the ball and its showing. It's just kinda funny that after dayton dominated Ned in last years scrimmage the world was ending. Fast forward to this year and dayton fans are doing the same. I know it was ugly but it was just a scrimmage. Both Ned and friendswood are good teams with lots of returning talent and that helps early on. Dayton has 7 sophomores starting last night and they will continue to improve and get used to the speed of the game at the varsity level. Dayton will keep improving and make it 18 straight playoff appearances.
You're right!+1

Dayton better choose ONE QB and stick with him barring injury, two-qb rotation wont work.
They actually played 3 QBs, #6 started, then #7, and they went to like a wildcat sort of offense with #18. Nederland's Washington may have made the decision for them with a sack that knocked #6 out of the scrimmage.  He was heavily wrapped up on the side line.
#7 started and #6 got sacked by deshawn late in the 4th and went out and got his shoulder wrapped.
 12.
They switched the RB #18 to QB cause dayton's line couldn't block nederland. But out of the two QBs, #7 appeared to be the better player.
I felt the same way, #7 Triston has a great arm and he turned a few busted plays into something just to have his passes dropped, Jaquaris is our best receiver in my opinion and kyle our best rb.
Do you see McBride in the QB position? Or maybe putting Keener there?
They looked good where they were, and I think the qb given more time back there would look better than medicocre. I believe dayton will come together, I just hope its sooner than later.

I don't know where will end up this season but I don't see a DC . The defense looked flat and the line could not contain ned dline. I hope they get the kinks worked out out or they might just miss the playoffs this year.
Yall are very young this year and these first few weeks might catch hell about how "bad" Dayton is but really yall are just inexperienced and very young. Give it a few weeks and I believe Dayton will grind it out and find a way to get into the playoffs a lot of work needs to be done as a whole for Dayton but I saw good things to come for yall best of luck with yalls year!
thanks and I know your team is going to do great!

Seay was laying the wood and getting good separation from the WRs when they were blocking him. And I want to say he was 21? laid a huge hit on a wr was getting off blocks great coverage over all was great I really thought this was going to be our weak link on the D but tbh it is a strong point not as strong as our D line but they are dangerous good Hughes reminds a lot like carr he was making plays all night DeShawn and Malveaux were there normal selfs and holmon was holding his own, LBs need some work I would have like to maybe see a few people try out for lb. the middle linebacker needs a lil better footwork get his head on the swivel and when it is a run play he needs to come down hill a lil faster. to many times I saw the linebackers drop back on a run and come down when it was a pass. Minor tweaking and some coaching and the D will be great again
I think they played very well as a team i wonder if your son can play it better or at all
seeing as how at31 graduated from ned in 02, I doubt he has a son old enough to play high school football. :)
;D Which son you want me to play the 2 year old or the 4 month old?
quit making excuses and get both of them suited up! You're gonna make them sissies!
