Only Time will tell. I think this is a step up in competition for the Dogs. And Crosby's offense has been on fire, lots of weapons to try and contain. I also think the defense gives Crosby a lot of chances. Yall threw 4 picks versus BH, the Cougars have had 2 or more picks in every game expect TC (for obvious reasons.) I don't think Crosby's offense if they get the same number of possessions and have to drive will score 55, but I think the Cougars will get lots of short field opportunities, and I don't think we take starters out as quickly as we have against other teams. It's very likely in round 2 we will need to play a really good 4 quarters to win and won't be up 4 scores in the 3rd quarter. That being said I doubted the dogs last week and those scrappy kids made it happen so, maybe I'm wrong.

We find out if Nederland are pretenders or contenders this weekend. But an overtime Fumble win over BH, and a 1 point loss to PNG have me believing they are just about as good as those two squads. I think they are getting better as the season goes which is exactly what you want to see in Nederland. But they are facing the team that hasn't been challenged in district. While I think that's true there no guarantee we can beat that second round opponent at this point. I mean they will likely only have one loss to Texas high coming into the second round. Second Round is going to be super tough for anyone who makes it out of round 1 in our district.

Nah, BH, PNG, and Nederland are the games Crosby has circled every year because for these last years those have been the teams that decided who's in and who's out in the district. When we had Manvel and FB Marshall sitting waiting in round 1 that 2-3 matchup mattered even more. Cougars aren't thinking they have this they need to play solid football but so far they've been focused and disciplined even in a potential let down game after the big win over BH.

2nd round we would get the #2 out of Texas High's district not Texas high. Round 3 we get Marshall. Regardless it's not a good area of the bracket to be in and R3 for 5AD2 seems like a gauntlet.

I think it's like 42-0 42-7 at half and we do what we've been doing saving Branch and the others in second half. Texas High is going to be a rough challenge no matter what.

Yea, the offense also seems to have days where it's 4-5 yards a carry/catch nothing really gets behind the defense. But with how good that defense has been lately you can see them just giving the offense a ton of opportunities to score. If Crosby and PNG are both driving the ball and trading points that would favor PNG, I don't see that happening, I see many turnovers caused in the game. Winner gets a likely 1st round matchup with an HISD school. Also BH defense is worlds better than PNG's.

You play Willowridge in 1st round. The only other semi-competent team for the Marshall district.

This one isn't going to be close. Nederlands one trick pony offense is about to get blasted. BH had their wake up call early against Crosby and seems to have cleaned up that O-line a bit.
