YES. it is called taking him down. and has for the Line going down every play they were trying to put the O line on the ground to free the linebackers=strategy. Thats just his personality and is one of my least favorite players on BH team. very classless as well. As for the "clean" hit #33 put on #73 outside the play. While this is totally unrelated I would like to bring light upon the fact that Barbers Hill has swept the district academic competition in this area for the last [b]fourteen consecutive years[/b] and currently holds the status of being an exemplary campus. That has nothing to do with football but I thought that I should mention that since we have deviated from the original discussion and entangled ourselves in a debate about who's kids are smarter. I believe BH takes the cake on that one. At least Dayton's people have the ability to realize that 54 is a lot more than zero and seem to be fascinated with the fact that they have the ability to do simple math because they won't shut up about it.  P.S. BH 26-Crosby 17 Our defense has struggled with mobile Qbs in the past so Merka will be very dangerous against us.

Yeah, we're wearing our 1954 throwbacks. ;)

[/quote] first of all the team was by the track while all of the ceremony was going on and they were standing in silence with thier helmets off showing respect to our flag and reggie garret, i guess they got out of the locker room late. they didnt do it on purpose. secondly coach gage does know what it is like to lose a child. he lost his daughter before he came here. lastly he did apologize to the kids for what happened in the game, but i think its the kids job to step up and play football. im tired of people bashing coach gage and the team. the kids love him and they will be busting thier buts on monday trying to get better. get your facts straight before you post something.

i guess i have to step up and the one person from bh to be mature. i have alot of freinds and family in dayton and i believe it is a great football community. dayton has a great program and they know how to play ball and i believe their fans are more dedicated than ours. with that being said i also believe that bh has a great shot at winning this one. i know for a fact that this is the biggest game of the year for our boys and they are determined to win at all costs. coach gage has them pumped up and believing in themselves for the first time in a long time. i cant wait for tonight, its gonna be a good one ;D! WE CAN WE WILL, WERE BARBERS HILL!

the Eagles are playing for a lot more than just a W. they are playing for R-E-S-P-E-C-T(and thier first 4A playoff win ;D). Hopfully the boys in blue a going to pull one out tonight. either way good luck to both teams. Cant wait for the 7:30 kickoff. LETS PLAY SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!!

wow guys. the crap talk is getting pretty bad. :P my opinion is that regardless of who is better or not football is football. each team is going to strap up and bring thier A-game. As a bit of caution to both teams i have this to say; PNG, pride comes before the fall, yall still have to go in and play good football to win. dont let hubris take advantage of you. BH, lets limit the mistakes and play with determination and confidence. you guys need to put your heart into winning. either way im looking for an entertaining game(and some big hits ;) ;D). P.S. bhs jv looked kinda sloppy.

any one know how the bh jv did in thier scrimmage?

if you were at the scrimmage you can agree that the eagles werent looking too good. but i dont think that it comes from lack of talent. they have kade bradford, arunning back who leg presses 910 lbs. and can run a 4.6 40. you also have two qbs with good throwing arms and recievers like carter smith who ran a 4.44(handtimed) 40 and stork who has exellent hands. the line could be much better btw.on defense you have james bellard, logan mcswain, ryan rueter, mitchel hopper, and matthew viverette who are all pretty good. what this team lacks is a leader.the over all attitude of the players is mediocre. none of the players wants to step up and lead thier team by example. if someone on that team finally decides to step up and the attitude of the team changes bh should have a pretty good season.
