Wasnt at the game but man the Devilettes put up some numbers!

57-46 Hudson wins. Closee first half but Huntington couldnt get it going in the second half. 

Huntington win but only by 5.  51-46...devils need to get back on track before the playoffs...

I'm not even sure Huntington knows there was a game tonight.  Wow.  Jasper got on the bus on a mission and when the tip off happened, they put the peddle to the floor and didn't let up.  Crow is always tasty.

Well it was a close one in Jasper and Huntington pulled it off in OT.  That is Jaspers only loss in district so far so they will come to Huntington ready to get that one back because if they dont that puts Huntington in the drivers seat to win district (with both of Jaspers losses being to Huntington).  Huntington trailed Diboll the whole game Tuesday night and pulled that one off in the last minute as well.  I hope that was a wakeup call for the boys (always good for a wakeup call not to be a lost game) and they use that as motivation for Jasper. I'll take Huntington in another close one at home. I am excited about the game and will be there sitting on the opposite end of the home stands from no-look so when we have the ball in the last second of the quarter we will have both sides of the court covered to hold up one finger and shout "one shot".  8)

What can I say, I wanted my thread to be trending....

Im a North SETXSports fan as opposed to being a South SETXSports fan.  It has been impossible not to notice (and for good reason) that the HJ/Silsbee games I and II have received more publicity from the forum than Tebow did on ESPN after winning 5 in a row.  I am wondering how long it takes for this to become another HJ/Silsbee thread, but I don't think it will take long (and wasn't my intention for this thread).  They should have their own forum. Back to being a North SETXSports fan, Huntington and Jasper play Friday night in Huntington.  Both have one district loss (Huntington to Center, Jasper to Huntington) and this game has potential to be huge for the 18-3A title.  Neither team is in the top 5 in the state, but this is a big game for a couple of good SETX teams. Congrats to HJ...I'm glad y'all split, that gives the South SETXsports fans the fuel to talk about who really is the better team.

Huntington gets revenge against the only team they lost to in the first round of district.  Huntington over Center 60-30.

Jasper and Huntington end up 5-1 after the first round.  Center, Hudson and Central close in the middle and Diboll and Kirbyville at the bottom.  Nothing is set in stone and no sure predictions can be made, but it will be a close one in the end I fill.  Even though Huntington is at the top, the had 3 point games with Central and Hudson and went into overtime with Jasper and Center.  Should be an interesting 2nd half of district play for everyone.

Seems to me to be an easier 2nd half, only tough away game would be Hudson and having Jasper, Center and Central at home wil be good. FT's and missed shots in the paint made it ugly....overall good game to watch. Glad to see the Hudson kids make the trip, always makes the games more exciting.

Ok, Huntington beats Hudson at home in an UGLY one IMO.  That makes Huntington 2 for 2 against Hudson but we still have to go to Hudson.  Huntington has Central Friday in Central and it's a game both teams need.  Central would drop to 3 and 3 with a lose and Huntington would lose the tie for first with Jasper (assuming they beat Diboll tonight).  Also a big game for Hudson and Center Friday? If Hudson drops that one they will move to 2-4. Playoffs wide open.

No where to sit in Huntington... I know that no-look is loving the ball controll with 3 to goin the 4th quarter with our girls up by 8
