1. Thought it would be a good idea to have a thread for Dayton fans to discuss the team. I didn't get to go to the Vidor game, was xavier baldwin (#5 i think) playing?  I know that we used Franks at running back.  What's the deal?
2. An acronym for tonights theme.  V.I.D.O.R. Very Inadequate, Defeated On all counts Rigorously.
3. "A couple of us 20-4A fans watched the Crosby VS Dayton game on Oct 9th.....  Trust us...  we saw what a  "real football team' looked like. " I guess that means you have no objections to scheduling next weeks Dayton/Waller game in Beaumont.  Make some phone calls and make it happen.
4. Multi-task?  My job is WAY too hectic for that.
5. You can read the 19-4a posts during the quarterfinals while you wait for football season to start next year. The bottom line is most of the posts from the png/central fans have been talking about blowing out their first round opponents and it just didn't happen.
6. So, any word on the location of the Dayton vs. Waller game?  I think that the vidor stadium would be a great choice.  That way all the 20-4a fans wouldn't have to drive a long way to see what a football team looks like. The game is only a couple of hours away....time to turn up the heat.
7. Maybe there wasn't a let down....maybe 20-4a isn't quite as deep as you guys think.  It looks like the 3rd and 4th seeds in 19-4a had a little more fire than you guys expected.
8. Does anyone know if 99.9 will be broadcasting this one?
9. Did I read that correctly?  Vidor drove to huntsville for practice?  That's a long trip for a one and out...Had to do it, the thread is getting way too friendly.
10. The Vidor fans should enjoy the final hours of this years football season.  At the very least they will get to see what one of the areas elite programs looks like this saturday.
11. Since the football talk has slowed....Has anyone considered the carbon footprint of this game.  I'm not sure what the vidor fans will be driving to huntsville in, but I have to think that it will be similar to convoy of duellies and F-250's that will be leaving from Dayton.  If i had to guess, the average miles per gallon for the fan base going to this game is probably around 2.  Maybe everyones company stocks will get a little bump from increased demand.
12. Are there any bonafide D-1 quarterback prospects in the region this year.  That hasn't worked so well for t he broncos in the past (gilbert, rollison).
13. I guess the pirates have disappeared, I was expecting a little more fire from them this morning.
14. I heard the Austin LBJ line were ginormous.  Then again, Dayton did give up 2 points in that game, so that means Vidor's line will probably just swallow up that Bronco D.
15. "Vidor controls the ball and the game with their offense.  They are the master of disguise... see if you can tell who gets the ball... Good luck Pirates!" Haven't seen them play, but from this post it sounds like all of Vidors hopes are being placed on gimmick plays.  Seriously, if a big line and misdirection is all that the pirates are bringing to the table, it makes me wonder how many quarters it will take for Dayton's second string to get in the game.  Good luck with the fumblerooski, I'm sure that Bronco D will fall for it.
16. El Campo is a primarily a running team also.  They average about 5 passing attempts per game.  This portion of the bracket shapes up well for a team that can stop the run.
17. Don't want to look ahead, but I looked at a few of the boxscores for Yates...40+ rushing attempts and 5 or 6 passing attempts per game....same for waller.  I tried to look up some Vidor stats, but they suck so much that a vacuum formed and all of the 20-4A information disappeared.
18. I had no idea you would get so upset about the number of gas stations in your town.  Crazy!!!
19. This is getting a little boring.  Someone should type something about how all the vidor fans are simply trying to convince themselves that their team has a chance to win or that the 20-4A fans who claim to be in the deepest district in the state are morons.  Heck maybe someone should argue that Dayton is way better than Vidor because there are more gas stations in Dayton or that Dayton's football players have cooler tattoos than Vidor football players. I really wish that someone would do something like that, it would totally make the thread more interesting.
20. "Dang that 28-0 must of really hurt." Like a crushed gravel enema.
21. Being from dayton, I will pull for every 19-4A team except Crosby.  I hope they lose.  I hope they lose bad.  I hope they lose so bad that the school disbands the football program and all the kids that have a little talent transfer to Dayton.  And that's all I have to say about thaaat.
22. I was looking at the playoff bracket earlier and Dayton seems to be in a favorable spot. Yates has the best record at 9-1 and will likely play the the winner of the el campo (7-2) v sante fe (6-4) game.  The winner of dayton/vidor would get waller (4-6) or lockhart (5-5). It would suck to be from PNG and know that IF they win against barbers hill, they will likely be defeated by Brenham or Angleton. And yes, that was a shot across the bow of the indians.
