2. I think we should have an SETXSPORTS FOOTBALL BANQUET....to announce the SETXSPORTS teams/awards..... :o

I am in the media so maybe I shouldn't say this but I have never liked the voting and ceremony being done in February. What takes so long? The Heisman doesn't even take that long and no pro sport does their MVPs two or three months after their season is over and HUNDREDS of people vote for some of those awards. I simply don't get it.
Gabe, When would you suggest the banquet is held?  Before the season is over? During the Christmas holidays?
whats wrong with first part of January?
What's wrong with it being held during two a days?
 4. Oh no....those are my Gals....hope it's nothing serious..
And likewise, Green. All I have seen is a few TV clips, but just the commentary in this thread verifies Green is among the very best! Jones probably does have the most raw strength of any area QB (ask the opposing LB's!  ;D ), and like mentioned, his toughness is unparalleled. Green probably has the greatest "big play" potential on any given snap, and greatest athleticism . No argument there. Bottom line: two GREATS QB's!
Are you guys talking about 2011-2012?
 6.
Guarentee that Kirbyville doesn't sweep. Ford will win offensive, either Alfred of Central or Garrett from West Brook will win defensive. Politically speaking, I am quite sure the committee will not allow 1 school to win both awards. ;)
yup...that's why I said K'ville and WB

All the young men are very deserving of this honor. [Hidden Content]_
we finally agreed on something... ;)
 8. Post up your videos...lets see the finalists.... :-*

 11. Post some videos of him...I don't know him.... help me find videos on these guys....I got WB's peeps fo sho, but I have yet to see anyone else play....highlight wise..
 12.
Now, that was unexpected!
You got win to play the game!
 13. I saw the Kelly's young ladies play...they are a great team....and yes... I would say more recognition is heading to them...be patient...right now Basketball is the sport sort of overshadowing everything...I have a son wrestling (17-2), lost two matches by one point....and I have a son who is the QB @ WB....who talks to every sports reporter in town and in some cases out of town....be patient, you can't hide hard work forever...Congrats on your season.. ;)
 14. Congrads to everyone on the team, Good luck Seniors!
 15. Which school will whine the most after the ALL SETX SPORTS FOOTBALL TEAM is announced? Do we have more listeners/posters during football season or basketball season? Will Soulja and Joey ever square of in a game of 21....Wife beaters and old school Larry Bird shorts!
 16. Chris Reyes 12-2 on the season...lost a couple of matches by a point in Houston yesterday...still early in the season....will make a push for the District Title in his weight class.... Again, look for WB Wrestling to have several district champions in multiple weight classes....this is a young group....
 17. Reyes - 198 lbs Class - 3rd Place

I have heard this referred to as both a game and a scrimmage. Not sure which is correct but it was played under game conditions. Kelly.............1  1  2 West Brook....0  1  1 Kelly goals: Claire Dykeman(2) Kelly assists: Zuri Prince, Madeline Horning Kelly saves:Stephanie O'Neal(4) WB goal: Aaron Strawser WB saves: Stacy Nolan Great match between two of the better local teams. Unfortunately, PNG cancelled the scheduled game with Kelly and can't reschedule so we won't get to see that game.
;D  per UIL rules, games cannot start until the 13th so all public school games do not count in the W-L-T department except for the parents.  I guess for Kelly, it may, since they're already halfway through the season and I didn't see any of Kelly's key players get subbed out  ;)  BTW, WB's goal was by Rachel Babin from an Aaron Strawser assist.  Stacey Dolan played the whole game on goal.
WB's goalie blocked several shots and great job by Claire Bear!
 19.
Hey Rey is your son officially going to UofH?
Last I checked, that's where he would like to go, but negative on the "Officially"... ;D
 20.
Well, then he is a "Gooder" QB. Sounds like you are a great father Sgt Rey. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
The Goodest!
 21. I love our Lady Cards!  ;D
 22.
No Sgt., I really don't as I was giving your son props for his completion percentage. Did you read the next sentence? I stated that was great at any level. Does the word "Great" mean anything to you? Well, it is better than good.  ;D
You got to know how much of a clown I am by now..... :D...."The Best" which is better than "Gooder" ;D

 24.
Sgt, I believe my prior post clearly state what I thought needed to be said. Sorry, if you can't figure it out. I'm not going be try to take lightly a 67% completion percentage. That is great at any level. I think Jeremy's dad made some valid points as to why his completion percentage was down compared to others. The comparison you make about 3A and 5A is true but there are very talented players to play HS ball at small schools. There just aren't as many of them. To be honest here and obviously JJ dad has too much class to say it. But, JJ had 3A talent around him. The O-lineman were 3A level, WR's 3A level, RB's 3A level and so on. I'm sure there were 2-3 drops per game. Plus, throwing the ball down the field instead of hitch passes and screens to the RB and WR's makes a difference. As far as talent that has came from small schools. You can add Troy Aikman, Tony Dorsett, Emmitt Smith, Colt McCoy, Eric Dickerson, Tramain Thomas (Arkansas), Sean Weatherspoon (Missouri), Trey Franks (Oklahoma), and possible NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Earl Thomas from 3A WO-S and UT. Honestly, there are too many to count who starred at a small HS. BKJ85, thank you and Jeremy for coming to Lamar when he had so many other options. Welcome to Lamar University, we are glad Jeremy chose to become a Lamar Cardinal.
Do you see why I don't understand you now?
