Well as always, I have to disagree with a "player gettin showcased"...lol....did anyone figure that the Beaumont bowl stays in the west end....the way you mature a qb is to throw him in the fire...but u want him to get use to being in the game....can we run the ball?....heck yeah!...ask PAM....do we need to work on the passing game? yes...absolutely...it's really easy to sit back and criticize...a kid starting his 3rd or 4th game....try using a brain before assuming that a player is getting showcased...the more time our "show case player" gets whippn that ball the better he will be in November...it goes by fast, no time for regret, and no time to please critics....try and think to form a logical explanation of why the coaching staff would do this....I can relate...not because of my awesome little league coaching experience, but from my real world training of the finest fighting force in the world....the US Marine Corps... preparation, planning, strategy, defense, offense alternate planning and supplementary planning...only we can't see video one week prior... ;) If the show case kid(s) were not related to a coaching staff...we would not be having this conversation.... I was always kept an open door policy...still do...and so does Coach Stump....I don't think we need to leave a door open on this matter....meaning if you have something to say, don't beat around the bush say it....but to the right man's face...not behind a screen.... ;)

I believe the topic was about getting a second chance....what country are we in?....we have built this country this way....what other country in the world gives a 10th place ribbon....a participation award....Most Valuable water boy...etc...it will take a hard ass to get back in office to unscrew this country and take it back.... I know AAW has a few of those 10th and 12th place ribbons... ;D

[/quote] not saying they will struggle, just wanted to highlight how silly the statement on comparing NAIA to 5A is.... when u play a team like NS/FB Hightower and they have 5-6 player go to a big D1 school, which is mainly composed of 5a (or equivalent... i know Florida has like 8a) players....guess what?...nothing changes in College ball as a freshman...you've seen 5a football an upper echelon 5a competition...then the adjustment to the game is minimal.. I've seen both first hand Lamar and NAIA...it's like 4a and 5a...very little separate the two..but again...the speed of the game changes from 3a to 5a...IMO..college ball is college ball....a combination of all classifications, yes the upper tier are in D1(most anyway), etc...., doesn't mean that there isn't some guy at Mary Hardin Baylor that can come in to Lamar and take a starting spot(an example of course)...like a kid playing in Sabine Pass, that could push for a starting job at WB... ;)

they play selection appears to be pretty different... JJ - 7 of 10 for 10 yds?(misprint?) Prewitt on 4 completions gets 66 yds.....? or was it similar plays, different reads? who saw the scrimmage?

I will give them props when they beat NS and WB. What I hate is all the boastful, arrogant, trash talking coming from a few PAM supporters. You absolutely take all the fun out of the game.
