Had surgery either this morning or yesterday. Recovery time is three to four months. Ankle ligaments detached, but not a break from what I understand. Have not seen this posted. Just read it on a college board.

I think PN-G will turn it around and start putting up some points. The defense is good and will get better. The kids need to pull a "Varsity Blues", ditch the coach, and run the oop-de-loop on the first play of the game. Seriously, I hope the offensive play calling comes around and the defense can keep up the good work.

SFA...I read where ya'll have a young LB (Eric Hines) that is going to be a moster. Apparentley he has caught the attention of some of the Texas folks already.

You can line up in any formation you want and call it whatever you want to please the fans, but the truth is we are running the same freakin pass plays we ran last year. The long go route, te/rb up the seam, and 5 yard hitch. That is it. There is no innovation to this offense what so ever. I just feel bad to watch another senior class go down like this with Burnett sinking the ship.

PNG Proud, you are right. PNG played a very tough game. Both teams showed signs of first game jitters and first game mistakes due to learning a new offense. I had the pleasure of being at the loading dock under Reliant Stadium loading up my video/audio equipment. The rain was unstoppable. Both teams were also loading up equipment in that area and the players were mulling around eating pizza and sandwiches provided by both teams. You could sense the respect both teams had for each other. No trash talk, each team even offered to share a meal with the other. I was offered help by a PNG player, who I think was the center for PNG. Massive young man who was a pure gentleman. They spotted my '06 championship ring. I took it off and handed it to them to look at. Nothing but positive comments were spoken from the PNG players. This my friend is what makes La Marque stronger as the season goes along. Playing teams of the caliper of PNG with a rich tradition and having never quit till the clock struck 00:00. My hats off to you PNG, you have a good group of young men that I respect, because they are a class act. This is the kind of posts I like to read.

Maybe so, maybe not. But that has no bearing on tonight. A loss is a loss, but I do not think LM could have ran up any score. We killed ourselves with penalties, turnovers and poor field position. LM is the better team, but this was not the outcome most expected with it only 12-0 in 4th quarter.

I think Matt Johnson is in for a big year. He is tall, athletic, and fast. Probably not the best but I would not count him out.

there are three games that stand out to me ... two for the football, one for the community spirit. 1. 1992...Bobby August breaks out the "Black nights" uniforms to fire up Ned and PN-G goes out and gives it to them. 2. 2000....A back and forth game ends with Nederland winning after Joey Price misses a 40+ yard field goal to win it at the end of the game. I will never forget my good friend telling me if Price hits the field goal he was jumping from the stands. 3. After 9/11 when the bands from both schools came out togethor and played togethor. Awesome.

How much are tickets and where can I get them. Also, I have a 4 year old daughter and was wondering if it was going to cost her full price?
