  1. Normally 20-4a and 19-4a cant compete, aside from Dayton.  However, I think 19-4a has us this year.  I have only seen Crosby, and they seemed pretty solid against us.  But, at 1-2, they either overperformed, or the Indians underperformed.
  2. A few things I really realized after this game. A. We see how good Harmon really was.  (His running game took heat off our passing game) B. It seems when we throw the deep ball, receiver(s) gets lost and off route....(one of our picks) C. PNG faithful are getting less faithful (seems we were outnumbered by TC pretty good) D. Even the road crowd is getting a bit dull. E. There are some terrible refs in the world...(I was sitting towards the end of the bleachers by the freelancers just there to watch a game and different coaches from the area.  A coach from Galveston said to another coach, and I quote "thats terrible, I can't believe that did that to these kids" F. If you watch Al Pacino's speech in "Any Given Sunday", he talks about inches being all the way around you, and the one who ends up getting the inches are the ones willing to die to get them.....THE SIX INCHES IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE!!!!....PNG has had those inches in 2 games and could not get them...bad reffing or not. G. Secondary continuously lets people get behind them and do not respond to the ball, even on long passing downs. H. PNG is still a very good team, and will get better....just need to tighten up some things, and, they will still win 20-4A I. We have lost by a total of 3 pointss, 7 1/2 from home to a combined record of 6-0 teams.  Teams that I have no doubt will be in the playoffs, and one of them maybe vying for a State Championship. J. I am going to bed.
  3. BC is probably good, but PNLL is probably the most depleted league in southeast TX. They are on the Optimist Southern road. Not to be mean or rude, but if you would have asked me last year what the score in a 12yr old BC and PN game would be, I could have given you a round about figure of 20-0. These are the same 11 yr olds from last year that are now 12. Every 11 year in the league made allstars last year, due to the numbers. I may be mistaken, which I dont think I am, but PNLL didnt add many, if any, new 12 year olds to help them out. Did every 12 year old make the allstar team? PNLL needs to find something else to keep the league going....talk to Groves, etc....combination, because the competion is nil in PNLL. The allstar teams they have been putting out the past couple of season would not even be able to win a league championship in any other league.....against regular teams.
  4. Who of all these teams has a winning tradition? What is this, pick of the longshots. PNG wins this district hands down.........Count on it.
  5. Vidor fans, you guys have a reason to be excited.....I am a png fan and am glad to see you whip the dogs. We will be ready for you at the reservation.....it should be a good game. Sounds like you guys have a good passing game, and that is what it will take to compete against PNG. Not sure what your running game is like, but however it is, PNG's run defense is the best I have seen in years.
  6. I am a fan of neither of you guys, and I especially despise WO-S (not really, more out of respect......I am a PNG fan and we had our wars with them). WO-S takes this win easily. It will be like playing against a JV team......cakewalk. Havent seen either play this year, but my prediction: WO-S 42 Kirb 07
  7. Tell me I wasnt right on the money with this post yesterday. Wish I could find my PNG/Silsbee post....it was another gem......right on the money. Posted: Thu Sep 28, 2006 7:47 pm Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can see that SFA85 is blinded by his own dark shadow again. Ozen by 17???? Give me a break man. From what I hear, Ozen can not stop the run. If they can not stop the run, then they will have to deal with PNG's 6'2" 215lb Hemmings for about 5 minutes per drive, who in my opinion, is the best running back PNG has had since Ron McGill back in 89 or 90. As for PNG, they can stop the run....Ozen will not beat them trying to do that. They have got to spread PNG out in man to man and hope the qb can get the rushing they need. That would be tough though, cause from what I have seen, PNG's defense is the quickest its been in a while. If Ozen throws the ball anywhat sloppy.......and the qb will have pressure on him, they will be in trouble. He needs a perfect game for Ozen to even stand a chance in this one. PNG's Tezeno almost takes away one side of the field, so Ozen will have to concentrate on the middle of the field and the opposite side of Tezeno I'll never predict a big win for PNG, because all they have for now, until the sophomore qb takes over, is the run. However, they will tire the Ozen defense out in the end. Ozen will remain close with a couple of big plays.....IF, and thats a big IF....their qb play is flawless. The Ozen qb may be better than I have heard, but to ask an avg to a little above avg highschool qb to take the team on his shoulders and beat the likes of PNG is asking alot. PNG 31 Ozen 20 Hey, SFA, I gave em two field goals......since "they have a kicking game"
  8. Hey Pirate.....I am trying to be as honest as possible without being insulting. If you are really really a fan, you need to hope for another hurricane. Your chances at winning at the Res are NIL.

  10. Hate to say it, but Silsbee is a 3a school, and should not be able to win this game. I think they will be in it until the end, due to no passing game by PNG. But, Silsbee dont have much of a passing game. It is hard to run on Fischer's defenses. WOS, on the other hand, is probably the only team in this 3a district that could compete with the likes of PNG. This will be a good game early, but PNG's depth will play a role late and pull away from Silsbee. PNG 24 Silsbee 7
