BH's schedule has been brutal but absolutely blessed to see some incredible talent this year.  We have faced about 8 future D-1's, but I gotta say that that Northshore's Courtney Williams has been the best.  She can flat win a game by herself.  Look out 21-5A, a beast is headed your way!

Barbers Hill comes back from 15 pt deficit in first half to win in the last seconds over Klien Collins 60-58. Likely get Northshore at 3 pm in Merrell Center

BH is in the Katy ISD tourney beginning today.  Tough draw - if we can beat 5A ranked Mayde Creek today at 2 pm, we will get either Klien Collins or Hastings the next game.  Have to go through North Shore, Cy Fair to get anywhere near finals...Oh well, "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"

Nothing against Central, but they had trouble with Westbrook (BH didnt) and Ozen, who can only manage to report TWO scores come in at  #'s 9 and 20.  And New Caney at 17, give me a break.  I think its best to not even look at the state polls until end of December (except for comic relief).  And maybe Ozen can figure out how to report a score by then.  If you can't get your scores into MaxPreps, you shouldnt even be ranked.   {end of rant}   ;D [/quote] Hey hillguy, for you to start a snetence with nothing against Central, and then say we stuggled with WB, and BH didn't makes no sense to me. As you should know that this is somewhat of a rivalry, and being a good team, as we are, we have a mark on our back. It should also be stated that listing info related to common opponents is a crock, and we all have bad days sometimes. So with that said good luck to the BH this year, and I hope that we can meet in the playoffs, to really see who should be ranked higher. P.S. I know it's still early and we have not played our (Central Lady Jags) first tourney yet but I think we look pretty good at this point. [/quote] jr...I really don't have anything against Central, they are clearly good and wish we could play during he reg season, which we never seem to do!  Just trying show how goofy the rankings are early.  Not questioning Centrals rank...but am questioning BH's.  Comparing against common opponents is all we got, lol.  If we do meet, it will likely be in the Region 3 Finals on Feb 25!

I watched the whole game and the foul count was pretty even.  Liberty is talented but was just out hustled after the 1st.  On the loose ball tie up where a tech was called, the Liberty clearly threw a punch at Thames lying flat on his back with both hands onthe ball.  Can only think the fans ejected after that were frustrated at being down by so much.  I was sitting near the first fan ejected and he was throwing F-bombs left and right.  Nearby fans and administator had enough and called in the cops.

Schedule has it at 7 pm, but adjusted to start at 6 pm in the Field House (immediately before Boy's game with Liberty).  Fresh will play at 4:30 in the Comp Gym.  JV will play at 7:30 in the Comp Gym (according to BH website calendar). Channelview is 3-3.

Its good to see a nice story come out of Pasadena girls athletics.  Been awhile since they had some success for on the hardwood.
