I have heard enough about Lumberton 7th,8th, and jv ! Man, we are talkin about teams that have proven themselves as THE BEST........ and jr. high and jv don't count !

Lumberton is supposed to be really good this year from all that I have been reading on this site. And I know BC has lost some solid kids to graduation. so they are down this year. I like BC at home by 6

Sorry but you guys are wrong about the Hebert defense. Their offense is what was so great ! You guys are old and livin in the past ! Players are much bigger and faster these days and the game has become more violent.

1986,1987 State Champion WOS Mustangs There were 3 all state players on Defense Paul Hebert, Kevin Smith, and this guy QUINTON TEZENO who was by far the hardest hitter I have ever seen at the high school level ! He went on to New Mexico State where Sports Illustrated listed him as one of the hardest hitting DB's in college. He ended up blowing out a knee that ended his career.

Yep, your right ! First day in full pads since mid August. That makes three days of practice in full pads this season. I'm so glad he changed his mind. LCM has good kids, they just don't work them hard enough. I know this because I have one that plays varsity. As far as the girdle pads go..... Thats the way you get somebody hurt, going half speed or half cocked. You either play touch or tackle. If its tackle then you buckle up with full pads and go hard !

I don't know why, but its ridiculous. LCM hired this young guy I think he coached at Temple and this is the way they did it. Get this..... The varsity does not practice in full pads.....ever ! They worked out in full pads the first day they were allowed, and then again the next day for a scrimmage that lasted about an hour and a half. Since then its been shorts and shoulder pads only.

The LCM asst. trainer was right there with them and told Driver not to pay attention to the paramedic, that he was not a doctor ! No matter what the situation or how you think Driver may have interpreted his comments. The paramedic was WRONG to say anything even close to what he said ! He should have had only words of comfort. How would you feel if someone told your 16 year old they he would probably never walk again ? All this while he is strapped in a chopper traveling over 150mph on the way to the hospital ! Like I said....... I would like to punch that guy in the mouth !

They are a good bunch of kids ! Its a shame they don't practice with the varsity. Would only make em tougher next year !

Would you believe that a paramedic on the chopper told President Driver that he would never walk again ! I know this because Driver told me himself Sunday night after he was released. I would love to PUNCH that guy in the face !

You can throw out all the past wins of 8th,9th,10th grade. The only thing that matters is what you do at the VARSITY level. But it should help their confidence. Good Luck !

Speed and athleticism make up for size and he has both. Plus, he will put on some pounds. Everybody puts on size in college. But this kid is special when he touches the ball. His ability to change directions at top speed and look so natural is something to see.

Why is he playing Defense anyway ? He was born to play OFFENSE !
