You do what I call belittle someone little by little which is talking him down not saying anything bad and I apologize. People ask a question and a lot of them have gave them an opinion and we see yours makes no sense. That is the reason I stuck up for him because to never hear of someone and see them play is an amazing feat, only way that is possible is if you are deaf. Now you want to know where I coach and played ball, not going to happen because I will not allow you to attack my kids. Who said I was a coach though lol? You answer my question with a question, just stick to school and if you play baseball good luck to your team.

You talk about the kid, his parents and their friends; sounds like you are jealous your name or your kids name is not on here. Just one question because you say that he does not have the talent to play college baseball, what do you do for a living or are you a high school kid? I believe you are a highschooler, if not you need to stop worrying about little kids. Although you're typing reveals your age and education. I said the kid has talent and have been involved in the game for 20+ years. I have seen talent and what scouts look for and he has it. You may say he doesn't; you never played college baseball then. When you have a valid opinion and not one based upon what you dream up in your head come talk to me. I love the game of baseball and love the kids. I give credit to where credit is due and you need to as well.

Evadale will be salty on the diamond this year, everyone knows that. Those that say otherwise don't know much about the game. I do not know about past years, but Evadale was a very good team last year. They ran into a tough team in the regional semifinals that should have made the state tournament, but played poorly against Overton. Their district might be weak, but they beat some good teams in the playoffs last year. Competition is different at the 1-A level. Due to numbers your teams good teams are not as loaded as they are in the larger schools. One bad day can get you eliminated in the playoffs.  [/quote] You talk of numbers here with one of the largest 1A's in the state. Do not blame it on numbers. the team that beat you most likely had less kids to choose from. Just like any other day you step on a field and can lose, it is baseball. The Royals are the crappiest team in baseball but seem to own the best team as of this year the Yankees. I would not blame a bad day on numbers, usually bad days occur through lack of focus or the ball doesn't bounce your way. Yes teams are not loaded with talent in 1A but a loaded somehow seems to never win it all. I remember a Jasper team that had a few above avg players for their level of competition and a lot of good kids behind them, they won a state title. A team that is fundamentally sound has the best chance to win, than a team of stacked players. Another good example, the Yankees use their farm club and win a world series. Past couple years they have an all-star team and can't make the playoffs. All that said Evadale has a shot to make the tournament, just don't write your ticket too soon. One day, and one play at a time. Good Luck this year.

For someone to talk about grammatically correct sentences, you did not write one. ;) If Humble does go 4A I hope they make a district that runs up 59 to Livingston, I think it would be fun. I just hope alll goew well for Humble, the big town itself pushed me to get better and I am grateful for that.

I know the amount of money needed to support a school and things of that nature. I went to Hu,ble and know the size of it and how much money it will cost to support it. With the age of the school you have to think of the upkeep needed for the buildings and that cost. Do you realize the school recieves $10,000 for each student and that's how they budget there year.

If they did that to 20-4A good chance they lose the 4th playoff team as well. So it would be top 3 like it should be in every district. As for the Humble thing I believe I stated that ppl can't move into an area that is over populated. Yes build schools for growth in the future agreed, but do not take away from one there now. If these schools r gonna be 5A and there are alot of young families guess what happens in 5-10 yrs, they have to build more schools bc those r overpopulated. They need to zone that district a little different all I am saying.

So shaft the school (Humble) who has been there for years and give numbers to other schools. Boy I know the administration can't be happy. Like I said b4, they do that to Humble and within 10 years they will shut the school down. How do you take so many kids out of a school. So happy to be in small town America bc I would go nuts if I was there.

Yes I know it is called growth, but why continue to build schools when they r all 4a. I went to a 4a after I went to Humble, the whole HS was the size of my graduating class at Humble. If it could support about 5000 kids then why can't it now. I drove down the Beltway the other day, ear Wilson Rd and see a school going up there. I think it was a new hs, that is what 6-7 miles from Humble High. That does not make any sense to me to build these schools and them all be 4a. Combine 3 of them and be a 5a. Waste of tax payer money. Someone said b4 that no one is moving into that part of Humble for Humble High to stay 5a, well you can't build on top of houses lol. If it continues like this and Humble does go 5a they will eventually shut down. The school is so large it would cost to much to keep maintained and up to date.

The people that find a lot of this stuff offensive, are offended or insecure on the inside so they say that is offensive. Call me unsensitive or whatever but why is it that if it is the white man uses a racial term it is racist and a big deal is made but if it is another race using a white racial slur its ok. No racism is ok. With that aa few of the mascots metioned are pictured by people as racist and makes me laugh. Our world has based it beliefs on what theythink. Only one truth for me God and he has the answers. We r the source of evil, our insecurities are the reason for us to take offense. We have too many rights to sit around and pick people apart.  I wish we as a society would do ourselves as we do others. Our lives would become better bc we would fix ourselves instead of fixing everyone else and miss ourselves.

I went to Humble, moved after my sophmore year in 2000. The district was huge their, my graduating class was like 1100. Now they are building schools their like it is going out of style. Why are they doing this? I know eventually it may get costly for these schools. They are getting taxes from the same area, I don't see how the state okays this. I loved the school when it was that big. Back then we were good at all sports, now I don't hear much about them. We were in the playoffs in the 3 major sports for guys every year. I think they should spread out where they are building these school. When I was in Humble, the city of Humble and Atascosita both had Middle Schools then combined for HS. The athletes we had then were some beasts.

What ir required with bunting and hitting since now they r not one lol? Hand eye coordination!!!! Bunting is key to baseball and winning. I played hs and college ball and it made me a threat I hit .350+ through college baseball and the ability to bunt opened holes and kept my eye on the ball. When ppl say bunting is harder than hitting, why do pro pitchers bunt and not hit? When u want a kid oor team to start seeing the ball better bunt in hs alone bunting made my avg go up .050+ points. This is a lost art due to the hr era. Yeah the hr is nice but I believe 2-3 years ago the Rangers lead the majors in hr's but were like the 2nd or 3rd worst team in the league. I coach hs baseball and we bunt everyday. Are we the best hitters, no, but we put the ball in play and make ppl make mistakes. Also when u get in the 7th we will bunt to win. Small ball, defense and pitching makes an average team great. Bunting should be taught early, but alot of little league coaches don't know proper fundamentals(sorry guys). U have mom and dad saying level swing(wrong), push off the rubber(wrong), swing hard(wrong). So in hs u work 4 yrs to break 9 yrs of bad habits. Teach ur kid to bunt correctly and he will become a better ball player and increase the hand eye coordination. If ur kid is struggling take him and make him bunt b4 swinging. I bunted everytime I ever got in a cage b4 swinging and u say why. It one get my eyes focused and two got timing down. I took out 2 barriers that hurt hitters, so I was 2 steps ahead of the kid that got in just hacking.

They Franklin kid is good. If he hits like he did last yr he will hit 15-20 homeruns at Evadale's park. He will be able to help them on the mound as well as in the field. He can play just about any postion in the field. Loved watching him plaay, real competitor. All he does is make a good team better.

Well you can only be selected in 1 position such as MVP but not 1st team 1st baseman. It is just how the system works. If someone is MVP offensively, defensively or district they would have been 1st team at their respective position just don't work that way though.

That is awesome. Find out his and tell him you are still waiting on the apology. I umpired for a few yrs before I started this coaching gig. It helps alot knowing more high school rules since they change so much from college. If coach's knew the rules it would get them more calls reversed or just help them when "yelling" at an umpire. I never argue a close call just a questionable one or one I know the rule of. Thanks for the input, I was told the balk was a delayed dead ball and its good to know its not.

To deal with the Cobb issue he liked to win classless or not he was a stud. If a infielder was smart he would swipe the tag and not hold it down. Slap him across the face with the tag and show him your not scared. Back to Manny he used fertility drugs which are used to produce tesosterone after the use of steroids bc they produce it for you and. This drug gets your body back to creating it and repairs the body. I would make it a yr suspension and on a repeated offense banned for life. If you ban Rose you gotta ban these cheats for life.

Ok the ump the other night called it where the kid moved back to 2nd. I told him he was mistaken and he told me he would call me if he missed it. I guess he lost my number.

I have a question on catcher's interference. If a runner is on first and the batter hits the mit and the ball and its in play for a single which moved the runner to third which would be 1st and 3rd does the runner at 3rd go back to 2nd or does the coach have the option. I thought it was like the balk rule, bc this would negatively affect the team to move the guy back to 2nd.

I have read all of this stuff just to see what was going to happen with this game. It is senseless that people did bash the guy and in the long run he was right and nothing could be done bc the game was called not suspended. The OF/Silsbee game may have been suspended which puts you in a spot you can resume it. I am a fan of neiher team just baseball and try to keep up with it regularly. I would have liked to see the game continue but once the umpires called it and did not suspend it, the game was over and complete. It is not either sides fault. If ne one is at fault it is mother nature. Bobcat you sound bitter at HF because your seeding, calm down a bit you guys are not in a horrible situation you are still in the playoffs.

I read this stuff on here bc I like baseball. I am a coach but I have umpired as well in the Chapter out of Beaumont. Those guys will toss someone very quickly and they might not even care if it was the kid who did it if it came from the dugout. Umps don't like ball, strike or out arguments bc its their judgement. The thing I see kids doing now is blurting out "Oh come on blue you suck". This is not right. I have no clue what happened at the game, wasn't there or talked to ne one who was. But when that happens it is disrespectful. The kids who say this need to be repremanded and usually are. What if the umpire said "You Suck" everytime a kid struck out or got out. Ppl would not be happy. Coaches are there to argue the calls, players are there to play no matter the conditions. If you let an umpire get in your head what will happen when you get deep in the playoffs and play a good team? They will get in your head.

Big Sandy and Spurger WOW!!!! Have u seen these 2 teams play. The district they r in is a one horse race with Evadale not having much competition. I have seen them all play and wow they r weak. I believe the playoff teams out of that district will be Evadale, High Island and Sabine Pass.

Read closely about after registering a team. It could effect them but most likely not. Not having enough players is sufficent. You can't make a kid participate.

If you can't field a team UIL can't do anything about it I believe.
