1. To say that Nederland had so many difficulties at the beginning of the year, this is a great turnaround story. Congratulations on an unexpectedly good season.
 2.
Likely Hightower, who is picked by some to win state,
In that case, I'm hoping the Bruins can prove those guys wrong. SETX has been underrated for too long.
 3.
Congrats on the BH win, but the run for PNG ends against a Brenham team that isn't up to usual standards, but is plenty good enough to wallop PNG.  Oh, and don't even think about trying to get something to eat near the Aldine stadium!
Don't count the Indians out just yet. If there's one thing that this team has proven, it's that it can defy the odds. Brenham is a strong team, but they aren't unbeatable. Congratulations are in order for the Mustangs for their win this week.
 4. Glad to hear Central won. It's time to show the rest of the state what District 20-4A is.
 5.
They announce at the game that next week's game will be Saturday 1 pm at Galena Park
Any idea who the Bruins will be playing next week yet?
 6.

I think this will be PNG's best test of the year (right up there with Central).  Brenham always has the athletes and the speed, but in years past they have made it a habit of losing to teams they, on paper, should be better than.  IMO, PNG will definetly have the x's and o's advantage with the coaching staffs, but I think this is the week PNG goes down. I hope I'm wrong, but I think PNG is the worst 11-0 team in the state, if there is such a thing.
Well aren't you just a little ray of Golden Triangle SUNSHINE.  I'm thinking that being at the bottom of the 11 - 0 teams is way ahead of a bunch of 10 - 1 (and worse) teams.  The success of this season is the District Championship and being undefeated for the regular season.  Compare that to last year's record.  AND, I'm pretty certain that the Coaches and the team DO NOT feel the way you do about this next game or their lowly 11 - 0 record.
As usual, probably another PNG hater. We could go 16-0 and still have the threads filled with haters. 11-0 is something to be proud of. I am very proud of the team and the coaches. Even if they loose, I would still be proud of the team and coaches for what they have achieved this year as compared to last year. Major turnaround. I wonder if its just PNG hating or just flat out envy ? If you can't be happy for the team, coaches and community then just keep your mouth shut. Or better yet just enjoy what you are watching and put on your purple and join us for some great football and fun ! I for one plan on trying to go to 2 games of teams from our area. I may not like them as much, but I am going to cheer for them. It's not so much about just your team as it is a total complete community and area ! (Golden Triangle) So lay down your hate and jump on the Golden Triangle band wagon and cheer on all of our teams !!!
I wouldn't call him a PN-G hater (he did say he was hoping he'd be wrong), maybe just a little bit more conservative with his predictions than the rest of us. Brenham has been a consistently strong program over the last few years, versus PN-G which, believe it or not, is still a recovering team (IMO, even with that shiny 20-4A championship trophy and that great 11-0 record) and is still fighting problems with penalities and ball control (as was made apparent last night). Even with that being said, I disagree with BoboandBlair's prediction and have the utmost confidence that the Indians will win a very good, possibly very close game.
just suggested a purple pride flavor on bluebells website :-)
;D
"trippin" over many fans possibly not getting to attend. Look at this: [img][Hidden Content]] thats 8500+ PNG fans last night for a first round game. 5000 seats minus the band and drill team and your talking 4500 available seats for the game. Not to mention the 2nd round game could possibly be the best 4A playoff matchup in the state next week. PNG also has a history of crowds getting larger and larger the deeper they get into the playoffs. Maybe this is why some folks are "trippin' about having to play at a 10000 seat stadium for a playoff game.
Is Reliant stadium available for high school playoffs. The 5a state championship games will be played there.
Im no expert on playoff locations but Im sure it all depends on the Texans home schedule and the surface being natural grass. Im sure they wouldnt allow games on Friday and Saturday during the playoffs if the Texans are playing at home on Sunday. I REALLY miss the Astrodome this time of year. The days of watching double and triple headers in climate controlled conditions are over and its sad. Just my 2 cents.
I'd heard that the Houston Fire Marshall condemned it because of problems with the sprinkler system that Reliant (or whoever runs the complex) wasn't willing to fix. I don't know if that's true or not, though.
 8. Aldine @ 8:00 PM Friday It'll be tough, but don't count the Indians out. It'll be close either way, but I have confidence in the guys (as well as fans and other students) in purple. Let's pack the house. Shouldn't be hard to do since it's a relatively small stadium, but let's make things "standing-room-only" and show Brenham what PN-G school spirit is.
 9. Barber's Hill, you surprised me. I'll admit that I wasn't expecting a fight that hard or a game that good. Congratulations on a good season and making it to the playoffs. Hopefully, we'll meet out there on the football field again next year. PN-G, what a game, what a game, what a game! I don't think I ever sat down. Our players are to be commended on a stellar performance and here's to another win next week. It's time to focus on Brenham, which I believe will be a close one but a win for the Indians nonetheless. GO INDIANS!!!!!
 10. Happy Birthday, USMC, and a big "thank you" goes out to the Marines.
 11. Happy Veteran's Day, and I reiterate what prepballfan said: thank you, veterans.

 13. This thread's in second place with 96+ hours left until kickoff. We might as well make something out of it and head for first.
 14.
It's all cute and everything, but Beat BH.  Remember I told you I was going to be hard on you?  Well here it is.  You beat this team by 1 point this year.  This is a .500 team.  Those kids that will be across the field have it in their minds that they can beat you and felt like they shouldn't have lost that game earlier.  Knock them out early to let them know that yall are on a mission.  I expect big thing from PN-G over there in D-2...
Your hopes are safe, as I'm sure mine are in regards to Central. I would love to see a doubleheader. We should get both schools in on this. Have the second school to play's fans, band, drill team, cheerleaders, and football players show up early to support the first school, and have the first school's fans and students stay late to support the second school. It probably wouldn't happen but boy would it be awesome if it did.

 17. Central by 10 points or more. If the Jags perform at the same level as they did last night, GCM is in for a hard game. Glad to see the Jags, Dogs, and Pirates join us on the warpath.
 18.
Expecting a split... PN-G/Central win Vidor/Nederland lose 2-2
As much as I hate to say that Vidor and Nederland may be out of the mix in a week, I have to agree with this prediction. I'm still rooting for the Pirates and Bulldogs, though, as well as the Jags and my Indians.
 19. Alright, now we can focus on this game. ;D
 20. My vote is (obviously) for Faircloth. I spoke with a friend tonight and it didn't really hit me until then that this team was the team that noone outside of Indian fans believed in before the season began. I can remember people saying that Faircloth "wasn't proven" and that the Indians "just didn't have it in them" and that it would take "more than one season to turn around." I don't mean to be rude or arrogant, but I'm sitting here looking back on a perfect season (10-0) and thinking about that shiny new district championship trophy that's going to be sitting in the fieldhouse come Monday morning and realizing that those voices are now silent. Faircloth has done an outstanding job, and the beautiful thing about his association with the Indian nation is that he stated from day #1 that it wasn't just about football. That man and his staff have revitalized this school. Our academic teams have taken top honors at every meet they've attended so far, our volleyball team went to the playoffs, our band and drill team competed at the Area F Marching Competition, our district and high school have both received TEA's "Recognized" designation, and PN-G has risen to a state of energy and spirit unrivaled by any school in this area, arguably this state - all of which is at least in part due to the success on the football field and Coach Faircloth's arrival and school-oriented mentality. Faircloth has not only celebrated the football victories, he has celebrated every victory that this school has had this year. Coach Faircloth isn't just a coach, he's a true [s]blue[/s] purple Indian. Neither I nor my fellow classmates have ever been more proud to be called "Indians," and I think that Coach Faircloth has opened the door for a new period of prosperity at PN-G that will allow future students to feel the same pride that we do. Coach Faircloth, if you read this, thank you. You've worked a miracle. The contrast between this year and the last few is amazing.
 21. This was certainly one of the best regular season high school football games played in Texas tonight, perhaps one of the best in Texas HS football history. Central, I was very impressed. I was expecting a fight, but not one like that. Best of luck in the playoffs. Congratulations on your superior season and I look forward to next year's game. I expect a quick recovery and a deep playoff run similar to last year's. PN-G, let's go kick some playoff butt. Look out Barber's Hill, here we come.

The Barber's Hill thread is 25 pages long whereas the Central thread barely has 16 pages. The Eagle fans are just looking for something to keep themselves entertained because they're off this week. Let's just let the Indians settle this one on the field (for the third time in two years ;D)... or at least wait until Saturday....
Sound like someone knows central is gonna beat yall
Not quite. I just like to beat teams the same way we've beaten all the teams we've faced so far this year: focusing on one game at a time. Luckily, the coaches follow that principle, although I can't say the same for many of our fans.
That's great for the team but we won't be on the field so I don't see how it matters what game we talk about.
I'm just trying to keep everyone focused... and apparently failing miserably.... :D
