I'm just calling it like I see it....Agreed Kerlegan and Haynes were 90% of the offense that game........those coaches and kids took what EC gave them....they saw the mismatch and exploited it.......LM still has 5 other good receivers.........and three good backs......so dont expect the same show........I will say if the passing game opens up on Lumbertons' side then it could get interesting.......

I have to disagree... #7 is not a trash talker......although I am not denying that there are not any trash talkers on the team.....I saw smack on both sides of the ball......the EC fumble was questionable but there are photos of this posted on another website that shows the ball out and on the ground in clear sight of where the official was running from to say it was a fumble.......the kicker is the real deal.....and so is the Coog passing game when they get it going.....I was not totally convinced earlier in the season about this offense that the Coogs run.....but it is a quick strike offense.....and it is fun to watch........if the Coogs get behind they will catch up......if Lumberton gets behind....they will open up the passing game and it will be a shootout.......I cant wait for this one......

Everyone is right LM is not the team of old.....they sputtered throughout the whole season....but they seem to have put it together today against a pretty darn good El Campo team.......if the team continues to play like they did today....I will have to take the Coogs......see you guys at the game......

As with the opening game last year against Ned the Coogs did not impress me and I am a fan.......I actually took my girlfriend to this one and she was like.....what's the problem your guys won......I didnt comment....I just stop at the store and got me a "6"....but in all truth PNG played a good game.......that running back is beast and a bruiser..........mistakes and penalties hurt on both sides of the ball.........I was surprised about the production of Deuce....at 5'3 130 lbs that kid is exciting to watch.......although small...I hear that kid is a beast in the weight room......I hope he doesnt get hurt doing all of those cut backs....I was also surprised at the LM kicking game.....that kid from Jamaica was awesome last year.......I guess he was nervous.....that could have really came back to bite the Coogs on the butt......but anyway......I had the same insecurities about last years team....and they won state....so........they will improve as the season progresses.......Great Game PNG....see you guys the next time around.......

No he's at the University of Houston playing ball but there is a kid similiar in statue to him who was used as a tightend last year. He moved to reciever this year though.....from the scrimmage action I saw he looks to be the same kind of athlete......

I beg to differ.....LM did not lose its whole team......it returns a loaded team at every position.....just remember the QB from last year did not really play until the starter was taken out on discipline issues before playoffs started.....LM always has someone waiting to step up and be the next star............read the article below.......the new coach is going to bring back the spread. The receiving corp is pretty deep with several recievers at least 6'0......Speaking of dejavu LM has another 6'5 converted reciever (ala Jo Jo Florence)who will see major action this year. [Hidden Content] I must admit I am a little concerned about the defense. I have not heard much about the 2007 edition.....but only time will tell.........LM seems to always have a pretty aggressive defensive unit..... I forgot my prediction.....Brenham and Coogs.....win this battle

Creek didnt make the playoffs and he was hurt half of the time..... [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] JJ is a good kid...(committed to Kansas State)..hell I remember when he was born...I just dated myself...but the Coogs are definitely not missing him......he would have been a contributor in the recieving corps or on special teams (return man) this year...the backs the Coogs have this year are larger and more powerful...JJ could not always break to the outside like he wanted too...but dont get me wrong if he gets out there its over.....

JJ Mullins are you serious.......He went to Clear Creek right? I hadnt heard too much about him this year.....maybe he's missing the Coogs right now.....

I believe this will be a good game. LM will win but the game will be entertaining. Although I must admit this is a different Coog team......they get better as the season rolls...the QB situation has not affected anything and in fact this QB is a bigger threat than the former starter.....There were also some other changes made ....the runningback that started the season and ran all over Nederland the first game of the season is no longer a running back he is now a reciever. No comment......well at least one....I was ok with him until he blew that Brenham game last year...by going to a prevent defense....after finally being able to contain the BHS QB.......)the kid was a straight pocket passer....not mobile at all).....he takes off the pressure....and look what happend.......hopefully my view may change this year...but I am always a Coog......
