flyfisher
Looking for a pitching coach to improve a seasoned 17 year old pitcher with good mechanics, currently throws 3 pitches well (84 mph fast ball, 69 mph curveball and solid change up) and working on improving slider. Needs help with adding a couple more pitches to his portfolio and needs to get more velocity.Any suggestions?

rounder17
You really don't need more pitches. If you can command 3 good pitches, you will be just fine. Would a fourth help, sure, but it's not necessary. If I were you I would concentrate on his velocity, and for that I would say Sam Moore.

[/quote]Agreed about velocity is most important on fb.Hit the weight room and have a defined routine to strenghten core, legs and upper body. This is important esp during off season for a pitcher. Have a defined plan and stick to it.
