HD transfers from BH

Move in students will be eligible to play under two circumstances: 1. Having being full-time enrolled by the sixth day of the current school year 2. Being enrolled for 15 days prior to the athletic event (student is eligible to participate on the 15th day). This is from Sections 400 and 404 of the UIL rules book.

So basically a move in student that enrolls and attends at the beginning of the school year (between Aug 27th and Sept 1st for HD) is eligible to play immediately. The 15 day rule is for kids that move in to a new school district during the middle of a semester. (actually anytime outside of the first six days of fall class).

So these particular student athletes will be eligible to participate in HD vs. Hardin on Aug 31st as long as they are enrolled in school that first week of class. No 15 day waiting period.  ;)

That's what I mean.  I'm thinking they might be enrolled now.  That's what I thought was being implied anyway.

Finally got the "word" on the 2 transfers from RSS. They are transferring for reasons beyond their control. Definately not for athletic purposes.

One of them was a starting ILB for Sterling and did a HECK of a job. The coach I was talking to said he will dominate at the 1A level he was pretty darn impressive at the 5A level. He's that good.

The other player will also be a nice addition.

Good luck to both young men.
The ILB brother will be our Tailback most likely, along with Drake. Man we have about 8 really good athletes that can dominate both ways.

I talked with a friend that used to work with the kids dad. The info I got is that they are both juniors and brothers. Heard they played at Barbers Hill and were decent size kids, probably 6'0 200lbs or more. Let's not forget Brady Ben was also a move in from BH last season, he is one of our top players at 6'2 230lbs.

It is HD after all, any kid is likely an improvement on another.  Especially if they are 6-2 and 230.  Nothing against Brady, but man how may 6-2 230 fellas you hiding in those woods anyway?  ;D
Brady is more like 6'0 215lbs, and yes we have some big kids. THe O-line this year is gonna be bigger than the last few years. We will average about 240lbs. Chris Taylor is a beast at 250lbs, Cook is 250lbs, Abraham is 230lbs and Stanley is 230lbs.

One of two things has to happen then, Jenny Craig needs to buy a single wide in Hardin County or you got to stop feeding them kids chitlins.  I mean, really!  You got 20 kids in 11th-12th grade and 5 can't fit on the bus.

"Taylor" .......  I think half the town of Hardin and Hull are Taylors.  ;D

Just telling the truth. I am a Fregia, I went to Hardin, have 3 sons that went to HD and I have grandsons that will be Bobcats and we live in Raywood. Two of the players at Liberty HS are Fregia's and two more coming into jr. high. These are just the ones I can speak of.

If you coached Pee wee in liberty that you know who I am. I started coaching with Bua (liberty) and Sanders (dayton) took a short break and have been back for 2 years. I have grandsons playing now. At present the President of the league (Trinity Valley Football). Good to hear from youth coach.

I see where you were coming from with your comments Bobcat@3D and was glad to get your reply. I also am a Fregia and with the comments coming from Eagle 11 and Smoking Baby, I felt that the negative blanket characterizations about anyone with name Fregia and Taylor were soon to follow. I can laugh at a good joke and myself but not the negative characterizations that I have heard all my life.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
