Nacogdoches Central Heights vs. Hemphill Game Thread/CH wins 14-13!

Heard it was a wild one in Hemphill tonight. Hemphill was up 13-4 in the fifth and ended up losing a heartbreaker 14-13.

Wild one it was.  Hemphill was up 13-5 after 5.. With 2 out in the 6th, on a 3rd strike that bounced in the dirt then caught by the catcher. Catcher turns and sees the ump fist up for strike 3 and tosses the ball to the mound. Hemphill defense clears the field. CH runner from 3rd walks home. Ump looks at him but doesn't acknowledge(point to the plate for the run). Hemphill runs and gets the ball to keep the batter/runner from scoring. Coaches for Htown confront plate ump. Looks confused. Conference with the field ump. Play stands.
From there it went downhill for the Hornets. CH ends up scoring 8 in the 6th to tie it at 13. In the 7th CH plates one then holds Hemphill scoreless. CH wins 14 - 3. Wow wouldn't believed it but i watched it.

Wow,  I love it when baseball has football final scores. They are fun to watch.

Hemphill had Byley on the mound for 5 then switched to another .
CH went thru 4 of them. Big kid on first closed.
Haley or Twine did not pitch.

The big kid is CH's ace. A very good pitcher. And Byerly is a good little pitcher as well. Places it very well and has a good curve ball.
