Vidor Pirate Pep rally this week????

Jeff's the third highest paid coach in our area, married to a Vidorian with children in the school district. If Bridge City couldn't pry him from us, I'm not sure anyone can unless they came up with 5A class money from a much larger district. Even then, I think he really loves our community and likes the notoriety he has. Something happens to Jeff and I believe some school board members here would lose their jobs quick, fast and in a hurry....

If he was about more money, I don't think he would be in Vidor now. I have met him a couple of times and he seems to be more into family and establishing his place within a community. I think that is why he is loved so much in Vidor. Not for his football record but for who he is and how he influences the kids around him in a positive way.

Amen on that. I've traveled around the us a lil but and meet several different high school coaches and have yet to find one that cares about there players like jeff does. He truly does treat those kids like his own.

Trust me, Jeff isn't going anywhere.  I have known him since he first came to Vidor under Pat Murphy.  He loves our Vidor Pirates and we all love him!!!
