Most 4a and 5a high schools do not hide talent on the JV. If they can play, they are on Varsity.

They also tend to keep 9th graders on the 9th grade level. Very rare to see a 9th grader on the Varsity. (Unless your cupboards are just bare at a position or just that special athlete.)
