As far as I know Bevil was not benched.  The sideline reporter for the Southland Network said that Bevil had his shoe off and was complaining about his heel hurting.

Bevil pulled himself out of the game. And 2 minutes before the final drive started he said it still hurt to much to play. But as soon as he got a chance to be a hero the final drive it all of a sudden felt better.

Good lord.  That is fricking pathetic.  Absolutely pathetic.  And why the hell wasn't Prewitt put in?  It was obvious, aside from one run, that Johnson could do squat!!
