Standings after Week 8:

Barbers Hill                  5-0
Crosby                        4-1
Dayton                        3-2
Goose Creek Memorial    3-2
Baytown Lee                  2-3
Galena Park                  1-4
CE King                        1-4
North Forest                  1-4

Big games this week with Barbers Hill visiting Goose Creek Memorial and Crosby playing Dayton.  A Dayton win coupled with a Barbers Hill win gives BH the district title.  A Barbers Hill win coupled with a Baytown Lee win would make the final game of the year between GCM and Lee a battle for the final playoff spot.  A Crosby win coupled with a Barbers Hill win would make the final game of the year between BH and Crosby the defacto district championship game.

I say the Hill wins both and lets the others sort it out among thierselves. Gotta stop fumbling though because someone is going to make them pay. :)

There are so many different scenarios involved that could realistically happen.

Could be GP, Lee and GCM tied at 3-4.
Could be Lee, GCM and Crosby tied at 4-3
Could be Lee GCM and Dayton ties at 4-3.
Could be Lee, GCM, Dayton and Crosby all tied at 4-3
Or it could just be GCM, Crosby, Dayton and Barbers Hill making the playoffs after Lee loses these last two games.

[/quote]Dayton has CE King in the last game (Broncos should be favored by doube digits).  Crosby however had the hardest three games of the district at the end.  Even if Crosby losses out, they should be in.

Yeah, but that would bring a possible three way tie into it.
Or if not, that would mean GCM would have lost to BH and Lee.
That would give them 4 losses.  Then Lee, Crosby, Dayton and BH go regardless.

Crosby has a good chance of making it regardless of what happens.
The only barrier would be if Dayton beats Crosby then loses to CE King.
You could have a possible Dayton, Crosby, Lee and GCM pileup there, all at 4-3.
This would assume Lee wins out and GCM beats BH.

Right now between those 4, GCM is +12 I believe.
Dayton -10 maybe.
Crosby +5
Lee -7

That's going from memory.
If Lee beats GCM by 7 let's say, that puts them back to even.  Then Dayton beats Crosby by 10.  That puts them at even.
Crosby would be -5 then.  GCM would be +5.

Crosby would be in trouble.
That's a lot of what ifs.

Lee probably gets beat by 30 at GP  :(

[/quote]not really...head to head only counts when there is two teams or out of the three teams one team beat the other two.
Crosby is in... even if Lee wins out and Crosby loses out... and GCM beats BH....
That would could make a 3 way tie all at (4-3)... GCM, Crosby, and Lee.
Crosby - +5
Lee - +1 and how many they would HAVE TO BEAT gcm by.
GCM - -6 and a loss by lee would make them out anyways based on points.

This one is a toss up for me. Crosby seems to be maturing on Defense whereas Dayton is free falling backwards. However since Dayton has their back against the wall they will play tough this week. Gonna flip a coin and pick Crosby 31- Day. 24

[/quote]Nobody needs to give BH anything. Our boys are good enough to win the district with GCM and Crosby playing mistake free ball. We got some help from Ned. when they missed a field goal but we are a much better team today than we were then. I think for the most part we are the best coached as well. Who in the district has the fewest penalties and who has the most?

What about the FG Dayton missed? Sometimes it takes a liitle more than just "being better" than everyone  to win a district title. You have to have some breaks go  your way too.

Don't count your eggs one game at a time.
