It's time to bench Bevil. He can not have good games back-to-back. The better the team, the worse he plays. Woodard needs start Johnson for the rest of the season. However, I do agree with an earlier post that it won't matter who plays QB against CA, they look like the team to beat in conference. However, I garantee you that Bevil will start on Saturday. He must have a picture of Woodard in a compromising posistion or something because Bevil should've been done after the Northwestern game.

If reports are correct, the picture involves a chicken, a mule, some electrical tape and some personal lubricant...enough to make a grown man do whatever.

OUCH!!!

Didnt your son take over .....with an undefeted QB playing?

I dont know what they need to do.  His choice.  But I have a feeling it will be sometime this year.

Yes he did...that's why I think it will be early this game...if it's going to be done this year...don't chop up JJ, IF he has a bad game...this decision will come with good and bad results, but with the final results hopefully amounting to great...

he was the starter end of last year, ...was named second string @ start of this year
If he is the second string this week...then yes I agree...but if he is not then I disagree...why would you start a 3rd string over a second string?

like i said..i think we need to chunk it and he's the best passer of the 3 and knows the offense...our best players are our wideouts, get it to em..we CANT run, we CANT stop anybody..we need points

last i saw, bevil was first , prewitt and johnson were both second...dont ask me, i dont know how you have two second teamers..ask ray..maybe its part of his secret dual qb package..

How about trying the bigger running backs early and establishing a running game or even taking another tight end and making him a running back.  Nothing against Venson except he can not run over anybody and we need to do that to open up what ever kind of passing game you want to have.  Really doesn't matter who is qb if they are running for their life.

Naw, I'm good where I'm at and I think the coaching staff is doing okay for a second year program.

A couple of these others may have the credentials to do so.

2nd year program or not, our defense stinks...i didnt expect miracles this year, but i had hoped we would have made progress on defense...we havent..we have def players from UH, SMU,ARK ST,Tulane, Mizzou and AM...and they are getting kicked around, whether it be by Incarnate Word or TSU

I would be surprised if Coach Woodard lets JJ start. This would an admission that he was wrong for starting Bevil at the beginning of the season. As far as the defense, they have some very good players but they always seem to be in the wrong D coverage at the wrong time.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
