New Golf Movie Out!

New golf movie out at Tinseltown in Beaumont starring Robert Duval called 7 Days in Utopia Texas.  It is based on the book "Golfs Sacred Journey" by sports phsycologist David Cook.  I read the book and it is an awesome read.  Looking forward to seeing the movie.

Adminbaberuth and I played the course in Utopia a few weeks ago and got to meet the author.  Admin shanked a drive into the cemetery and almost hit David Cook as he was filming promos for the movie.  He was very nice and even helped find the ball that was sitting on some poor woman's headstone.  :D 

I'm looking forward to see it also.

What brought you guys to play the course?

Phatmack failed to mentioned the fence post has a large dent due to his errant tee shot on the cemetery hole.

I went and seen the movie, it was great.

After the Sr. Babe Ruth season the coaches head to the Frio for our annual coaching convention. We have a board meeting and elect new officers. Here is a pic of the board meeting.

We played golf the 1st day at Con Can.

2nd day we googled closest course and Utopia popped up and we drove out there. I did hit my drive into the cemetery. The author David Cook was kind enough to locate my ball next to Mrs Bolin

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.  Pretty brave to put your pictures on here!!!  :D  LOL!!!!  Hope to see the movie this weekend myself.  Trying to hook up with a lady friend who heard David Cook speak in Houston and she turned me onto the book.

Me and my girlfriend went & saw the movie last Sunday.  It was really good.  Envious you guys played the course & got to meet David Cook.
