Off-Season

So' date=' what approach to weights do you like the best. Max out and work in reps of 10 at a certain percentage, pyramid the entire time, mix up the sets and reps and the percentages, etc.

Which plan do you like the best? Also, how many days of the week do you run and do agility drills in your program.[/quote']

I am not a coach but did play a little College ball and we used to start with 5 sets of 10 increasing weight with each set. Then after a couple of weeks 5 sets of 5, then 5 sets of 3 loading the bar very close to your max.

We hit lower body 2 days a week and upper 2 days also. This was back in the 80's and training is always changing for the better.

I did judge a powerlifting meet several years ago and I was shocked at how many kids did not know what a full squat was ! What Im saying is everybody may have different workouts but they need to make sure that their kids are doing it with the right technique.
