Benefit Barbeque and Auction for H-D's Kyle Kudro/TODAY, July 16th

Tody, July 16th, there will be a benefit for Hull-Daisetta's Kyle Kudro, who was injured in auto-pedestrian accident just after the school year, at the VFW Post No. 5621 located at 1520 N. Main St. in Liberty.

Barbeque plates will be served from noon until 2:00 p.m. at $8 per plate.  There will be an auction starting at 2:00 p.m. and a live band from 8:00 p.m. till.

Not a big crowd as weather prolly had to do w/turnout but those present stepped up pretty big w/$$$ for auction items.Was not keeping up w/the books but my guess is the donated auction items fetched prolly 6-8 K.Got to meet Kyle and shake his hand and he's 1 cool kid.Had 20 12-14 # briskets left and they sold some early for $50 and after 15 min they started the rest @$65.1 super cool cake fetched $500.Expect the dance/live band and raffles to put this prolly in the 10K neighborhood for a benefit for med.exp ;) 8)
