As for district crown...their is no returning champ since this is a new district in it's first season.

No history = no champ.

If you accept that premise, then you probably can't have "returning champs" at all, since all districts change a bit every two years. This is still essentially the southeast TX 2A district.

No History - No champion ???

So, Hardin, Anahuac, EC, and Buna haven't all played each other and fought hard for the District Title for the last 5-10 years?

For some reason, I have this memory in my head of these schools going at it pretty regularly this past decade.
Hmmmm

EC- District Champion, the one who holds the Belt. Until they are beaten, they have the TITLE

So being comparable and you have seen both team.. do you think this could go either way.. I haven't seen ec play just seen their scores but you can't judge a team by scores.. ec always has a good team.. I'm excited to see this game..

Yep, seen them both, but I was speaking more about size.  EC didn't have Jones when I saw them, but they've played much better since he's returned. I think EC is more balanced and definitely had a better defense, so I go with EC on this one.  It could be a high scoring game, and I wish I could be there.

Hardin will score, we just can't stop anybody right now. We have to get more physical on defense, we should be pissed off after last week. Playing at EC is difficult for anyone, so its gonna be tough. I think the EC quarterback will be the difference maker, he's a heck of a kid. But Hardin has a good QB also. I guess we'll see in a few days, if Hardin doesn't get mean real quick, its gonna be a long night.

Very good point. Is Hardin ready to play Defense this week? If we can come up with some big stops, and get that Offense going than I don't doubt the Hornets. The big question remains "can we stop Jones and company"

I have hope and maybe a prayer. ha'

Sorry, he is not going to transfer to Hardin.

LOL - Hardin's simply loaded with talent remember, so I doubt they would need Hank.

That would be a great place to play. I am sure he will make a good fit in whatever system he is put in.

If for nothing else, tomorrow night will be a battle between 2 pretty good Quaterbacks.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
