True they're 0-fer, but they have been playing quality teams, few of which they have in their district.  IMO, they'll make the playoffs and be better for having played tough teams.  I bet Tullos set up these games to get his team ready for the playoffs, then look what happened.

Cleveland lost their starting qb not to mention the fact they graduated some good kids. Whats the matter the new coaching staff does not cheat that the formers one? [color=crimson]This is a very inaccurate statement. We lost a great coach and some amazing players this past year, we knew this year wouldn't be like the past few. We have a young team & i have faith in the boys, they will find thier groove. Good Luck Indians![/color]

Hmm two or three coaches were reassgined last year? Head Coach is run off and this is not a valid statement? To come on a forum and rake on the current coaching staff at Cleveland is heavy handed. Dont discuss what the coaches did last year but lets throw the current staff under the bus. Really? Its about the kids not the former Coaches. Really? Good luck to the kids and Coaches at Cleveland this year.

Who ranked on the current coaching staff? I never said one bad thing about them. BUT he is a first year coach and that is showing. Not saying he is a bad coach by any means but he needs to win over these boys in order for them to play the way he needs them too. As for the other coaches there was alot more to that story that was pushed under the rug. Tullos left because of Cowart. End of story, he left him with no options. All of these boys mean the world to me. Yes i know the majority of them personally and have watched them grow up. So i wish them all the best.

Do tell us o great one what our former coaches did?????  I can tell you exactly what they did, HAVE RESPECT FROM THERE STUDENTS , PARENTS AND COMMUNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND WON BALL GAMES!!!!!!!! MAPLES HAS TO GIVE RESPECT IN ORDER TO GET IT, HE HAS A 9TH GRADE TEAM THAT HAS NOT LOST A GAME SINCE THEY STARTED SCHOOL BALL UNTIL NOW!!!! Maples got this job over another coach simply because he went to school with Kerry Cowart and they were friends, He has talented kids standing on the sideline that he NEVER puts in, He has Cedric Reed whom plays very little offense, he only wants him for defense, doesn't make since to anyone!!!! He has speed and size on Varsity, he just isn't playing them!  Good luck to all our kids in Cleveland!!!!

Fact is, when the super was pleading his case in the school board meeting, he personally said he new Maples and had went to school with him, how else do you think Maples got a job over Bar-bay, come on Ringo, not sure where you are from but Kerry Cowart has told everyone that he and Maples went to school together............

Now, let me tell you one thing Ringo, I live in Cleveland next door to a school board member, graduated from here 10 years ago, Was and always will be good friends with Ricky Tullos and the rest of the Cleveland Coaches, I never said one thing about going to college together, however they did attend the same high school, check those facts!!!!  Kerry Cowart wasnt always from Cleveland, he and Maples DID go to the same high school together!!!! So before you start calling someone facts false, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!!!!  The good folks of Cleveland have went as far as to find the year book with BOTH of them in it!!!!  What next, let me guess, oh what school and year was it, RIGHT????  Bottom line, Maples is proving that he CANNOT handle being a AD, and AD doesnt call kids out in front of there team mates and say YOU cost us the game, YOU WIN AS A TEAM AND YOU LOOSE AS A TEAM!!!! Maybe he should go back to school and learn what those 4 letters stand for...

Here are the facts. Mr. Cowart graduated from CHS in 1976 and Coach Maple graduated from New Caney HS in 1992.  Check that out C-Town.  You have no idea what you are talking about and you just lost all credibility on this site.

Cowart was the assistant principle at New Caney when Mapels got his first job out of college, and to go on Maples graduated form New Caney while Cowart was ther. So to back up C-town he is correct. Any more facts you need to know about that.

Cleveland has good athletes, and though Tullos was a good coach who got on the wrong side of someone, Maples has good credentials as well. If he's a good coach, it's immaterial whether he and Cowart worked together.  You can't bring Tullos back, so go forward supporting your team and its coach. 
Cleveland played good teams in pre-season, and I say again that they will make the playoffs in their district.

BigDaddy I will check that info out.  I will not say that is not true because I will not just say crap that I do not know to be true.  If you look at C town's post he was saying that they went to school together like they were buddies in high school or something. I knew that was not the case.  I did say that he had never met him before the interview so I will check and if I was wrong I will say that I was.  No problem.  I can honestly say that never came up before.

Checked it out Big Daddy.  I can tell you this there may have a been a 1 year period when the Sup was in admin at one of the middle school while CM was an assistant coach at the high school.  He never worked with him or under him in fact I will say it again never met him till the interview in Cleveland.  That is the facts and this time I really am done.  This whole accusation by C town was stupid.
