Jasper discussing turf and new field

I just read about the Jasper School District discussing possible plans to renovate several facilities and construct some new ones. In the proposal are plans for a new 6500 seat field with turf to be constructed by the high school. I don't think this is a done deal, just being talked about by the board. Also included is a 60 acre indoor practice facility.

I just read the same thing and I hope it goes thru cause it's been long past due for a new place and maybe we can get some playoff games.

The Astrodome roof covered 9.5 acres in its day.  So Jasper is going to have a covered practice field cover 6 times more area than the Astrodome?  I'll bet that never gets past the discussion stage without being downsized a bit...  

Or to look at it another way, the in-bounds area football playing field covers about 1 acre.  Jasper might cover 60 acres with pine trees.

I would have to imagine he is a major player in this.  Man I hopes this passes.  Pretty sure our guys are tired of going to the rodeo arena on rainy days.

So the tax payers of Jasper want a indoor facility to house the Bullbogs from a rainy day? Honestly if it was the team that it was in the late 90's I could see that being a possibilty, but come on.

I see alot of people not happy with this plan for a new staduim come on people why not im sick of looking at that crap we play in and it will bring money to jasper look at all the playoff game silsbee get's and carthage cause of there stadium they have. We need this maybe not the indoor but a new staduim yes. And the program had a good year and will continue to build.
