This is the strongest field I have seen at the YMBL in many years.  What do you think?

Great field. Should make for a very good tourney.

Will be tough for my Tigers but should do them some good overall.

I will be there broadcasting as many of these games that I can.

Curious to see how they bracket these teams. Will they put the 7 SETX teams along with maybe a NS in one side of the bracket with the rest in the other side to try and get a SETX team to the finals? Or will they mix the brackets up evenly in hopes of maybe getting an all SETX final? The latter could result in no SETX team in the finals or even the semis. That will make it tough for me to broadcast if no local team makes it that far.

Dove, why doesn't HF get in this tourney?  Do you think they will be in it in 2013-2015?

Dove, why doesn't HF get in this tourney?  Do you think they will be in it in 2013-2015?
[/quote]If you have a couple of middle school players scoring against their high school players in full court games, then I suggest HF stay out of the big  tourneys for right now :o

HF should began to compete in these tourneys beginning 2011. Again, when you combine several of the 9th thru 11th graders, you will see a good but very young inexperienced team.

Any of y'all that go to this tournament will probably enjoy watching SOC. They're young this year, but they play hard. They gave us (Madison) a great game in summer league play down in Lancaster and another good one in fall league over at SOC. They're not as tall as the teams that went to Austin for four straight years, but they play just as hard as those teams did. Whoever draws them in that tournament better be ready to play physical for 32 minutes.

Kimball returns just two starters from last year, but they'll still be good. Skeeter Henry's son Jarion plays for Kimball. The elder Henry was a Sooner great in the 80's. His son is pretty thin, but he's 6'8" and will fit in well with the Knights.
