This is good news IMO............in the past LU has been tabbed as a favorite to win the league and always had All Conference selections and they have always underachieved!!!  This year maybe LU can fly under the radar and surprise a few teams!!!  I personally don't think that LU will win the conference, but feel that they will finish high enough to make the conference tourney and have at least one player and maybe two on the All Conference team at the end of the season.

I think injuries have been a big reason LU has underachieved, especially last year.  This year, with a bunch of new players, and most of them freshmen, they shouldn't be expected to win the conference.  With a somewhat weak schedule to start the season they should be competitive in these games, even if they lose a lot of them.  Now if they are getting blown out against the likes of Tulane, Marshall, etc. then it could be a long season.

I think TAMU-CC may be the team to beat in the west because of their size.  Danny Kasper at SFA seems to be recruiting real well so I wouldn't count them out in the east.

Hopefully, we will be seeded "low" enough in the tourney to play SHSU first. We KNOW they ALWAYS lay an egg at the tourney!

What makes you think this will be Roc's best team since taking over as head coach? I haven't heard much about this group so I didn't know if you have some inside info or something.

[/quote]I'm not being sarcastic this time. This team fits Roc style of basketball...aka...Memphis...aka a slower version of Billyball.
He finally got the right kind of players to run it.

If LU finishes like you want them too, I will come on here and say you were right.  If Lamar does much better than predicted, like finish in top 4 seeds for the tourney, will you be man enough to come on here and say they proved you wrong?
