2 GTB Verbal Commitments / Hicks-Powell

Matt Hicks of Bridge City and Evan Powell of Sam Houston(La) have both verbally committed to play college baseball.

Matt Hicks RHP-MIF, has committed to continue his play with The University Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns in Lafayette, La.

Matt had options from Lamar, Wake Forest, Baylor, Univ Houston, Tulane, and more.

Coach Robe and Trahan have a relentless hard worker and winner on their hands.

Junior Evan Powell C-3B notified the LSU Tigers early last week that he will halt all recruiting, and sign with Tigers his senior season in 2010-11.

Coach Grewe and Maineri got a uniquely talented hitter with tremendous leadership and baseball IQ.

Congrats to these 2 truly unique and special young men.
