Beau Hale Recieves Huge Award

The Baltimore Orioles organization named Beau Hale winner of the inaugural Moe Drabowsky Comeback Player of the Year Award, in honor of the late Orioles pitcher who spent 13 years in two stints as a coach and instructor in the club's farm system, the last five years working with the extended spring training and rehabbing pitchers while battling multiple myeloma. Hale, the Orioles No. 1 pick in the 2000 First Year Draft, all of the 2003 and 2004 seasons and parts of 2001, 2002 and 2005 with shoulder injuries. He came back this season, splitting the year between Class A Frederick and AA Bowie and going a combined 6-6 with a 3.33 ERA in 31 games, with 85 strikeouts and 25 walks.
