let everybobdy get in the playoffs extend the playoff season till at least march more HS football.....other than that I liked the win your district or go home mentality of the 70's.

I think it is another reason do get rid of the UIL.

That being said, Since the advent of the 3 team to the playoffs dynamic was introduced, has the 3rd team played and or won the state title?

Heck, they ought to just put everyone in the playoffs, that way no one's feelings will be hurt and everyone can say they made the playoffs. We wouldn't want to hurt anyones feelings now. I think if anything they need to stay at 3 or go back to 2 teams in the playoffs, teams getting in with a .500 record or lower is just crazy.
