Central vs. LaMarque Scrimmage Thoughts

im hoping for the best for central, especially after the way the fans reacted to lumberton beating lamarque last season, i lost all respect for that school and that team that night, that stuff was un-called for, run over em central

That was not the real LM.There was a lot frustration with the leadership and LM has always beena class act.If that was the only time you have seen LM don't judge by what you saw that night. You don't become a great program by being classless. We don't like lossing to anyone but it was not our night. Our coaching was horriable all year. As I walked to my car I told lumerton's fans good luck and wise them well the next round.

Yea, I know.  But you fail to realize that this is our first time seeing our Jags after that sad season last year.  A lot of expectations.  I just need to see if they are poised to compete this year.  IMO, there is no winner or loser in a scrimmage.  It's just practice like you said.

JUST PRACTICE!!!!!  You sound lik A.I.!!!  Practice builds champions... and REAL champions practice like its game time... If TO can practice as hard as he does then High Schoolers should practice even hard than that!

I do think LaMarque will outplay the Jags in this scrimmage. I won't say they win because it is just a scrimmage but I think they get the better of the contest. Nothing against Central. Does LaMarque still have the QB Kerligan and WR Haynes #7 from last year? gman...do U know?

[/quot  Both of them are gone. You are right you play like you practice. But don't put to much weight on any scrimmage.I have seen a lot of LM teams that looked like $hit in scrimmage and go on and win state. You want to look at your kids .

To quote T.O., "Getcha popcorn ready! Here we come!"  Central has more than a few guys coming back, they have a lot of talent!  You think about last season and tell me who they will miss?  Frog was good, but didn't live up to the hype of his mag cover; you could maybe call out 3 or 4 names of SR's who graduated that made a difference.  Just about all their key guys where Soph's or JR's...they now have that experience since those Soph's and JR's are now JR's and SR's.  The OL is older and still together, they're stronger and faster!

Don't be late!  Freshman and JV start @ 4pm and Varsity get going at 6pm

Dem Jags SOOOO SMOOVE!

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
