From the Region III Class A meet at SFA.....

Lori Martin of Colmesneil placed 3rd in the shot put.

Returning tomorrow for the running finals:

Phillip Ryan in the 100 meters,

Heather Pierson in the 400 meters and the 800 meters.

Chelsea Ryan in the 100 meter hurdles and triple jump.

Lori Martin in the discus.

From Region III Class A at SFA:

Colmesneil State Qualifiers:

Phillip Ryan 2nd in the 100 meters

Heather Pierson 2nd in the 400 meters

Lori Martin 2nd in the Discus

Other Colmesneil finishers:

Heather Pierson 3rd in the 800 meters

Chelsea Ryan 4th in the 100 meter hurdles.

Other locals going to Austin from Region III:

Austin Cherry of Chester 2nd in the Disc.

in region 3  4a leslie beard ,a freshman from lumberton high school vaulted 10 ' 6 to equal brenham

vaulters height , but had more misses, finishing second & earning a spot at the state meet in austin.

another lumberton athlete, jonathan ward threw the discus 159' 9 , finishing second to ozen  &

earning him a spot at the texas meet. congrats to these two athletes from lumberton for their

success at the sam houston regional meet & good luck at state.
