Kennedale is just off I-20 in the Fort Worth area.  I've passed by and seen the name hundreds of times and never really noticed, til now.  FW Dunbar h/s is not all that far away.  Neither is Everman h/s.  Both of those schools put out talented basketball teams just about every year, especially Dunbar.  So, it shouldn't be that big of a surprise that Kennedale is in the thick of things in terms of the conference 3A basketball championship.

But hey, the Silsbee Tigers have shown a lot of heart and determination this season, and during the playoffs.  After 2 tough victories over Crockett and HJ, they should be able to get on the court with anyone.    This should be a good game.

What kind of height does Silsbee have this year?

only two guys that have good height i think one is 6'6 or 6'7 skinny guy and the other is 6'2 or 6'3 last name dodis thats it.

It seems like all the tall guys that play for Silsbee never play that agressive just like the old player nick-named sticks he was tall but did not finish big or go up to the basket big if he did he could have been playin D1 ball

everyone else on the team are average height and has good speed and can pull-back and shoot the ball pretty well

Silsbee also has Thomas at 6' 5" and Stallworth is 6' 2" i think

Silsbee goes 6'7" - 6'6" - 6'3" - 6'2".

The two tallest players are seldom (if ever) on the floor at the same time.  Their contributions to the team are not on offense but in rebounding and on defense - both love to block or alter shots.  6'7" is a Senior and 6'6" is a Sophomore.  6'3" has a bad knee and doesn't get a lot of playing time.  6'2" is a Freshman STARTER that plays bigger than 6'2".  He has an all-around game and you would not believe him to be a Freshman if you saw him on the floor.  He will be VERY GOOD by the time he is a Senior.  Silsbee's game does not center on height.  They rely on speed, a lot of trapping defenses, otherwise a tight mano a mano, and usually shoot well from outside.

It's cliche, but it gets the point across:  leave it on the floor Silsbee, leave it on the floor.  I'm not talking about playing dirty, or unethical or none of that.  Just give it your best, and leave whatever you got: blood, sweat, skills, heart, desire, athletic ability, etc, leave it all on the floor.  For some schools trips to Austin are rare.  But don't let that mess up your mind.  One of the four teams left in conference 3A is going to leave with a championship trophy.  It may as well be Silsbee.
